9 Conclusions: - The need of THE platform for logistics and supply chain innovation roadmaps definition. - The ETP should work to glue initiatives and programs at European, national and regional level. - The willingness of the industry (Shippers and LSPs) to be involved in the definition of key innovation gaps in logistics. - It is not only a matter of how to transport but also what to transport. 2/6/2013 9

12 The role of OEM s/shippers in logistics Ship components instead of full products: postpone customization whenever possible Supply chain consolidation and coordination, both along and across supply chains Reconsidering production locations, considering both transport and sustainabiliy issues Pressure on consolidation as well as reverse flows in urban logistics Is not only a matter of how to transport but also what to transport!!!! 12 2/6/2013

13 Main Future Strategic Fields Sustainability (ecological + economic + social) is the focus with initial topics: Design for sustainable and economic logistics (Supply chain network, product, processes, packaging) Physical infrastructure (corridors and hubs), allowing for synchromodality Consolidation and coordination along and across supply chains Safety, security and risk and finance management Information infrastructure (transparency and visibility) City logistics/urban distribution

INTRAREGIO LOG4GREEN Regional clusters involved will deliver Joint Action Plans and Research Agendas RIS3 (Regional Innovation Smart Specialization Strategies)

Dec-January Input to the first Horizon 2020 calls based on: (roadmaps analysis + past topics not addressed + internal WINN analysis + industry feedback). Draft early January + prioritization by steering board Involvement of Member Estates: Transport Program Committee is Key!!! Getting feedback to current documents: One to one informal meetings Small workshops (January-February) Drafting the SRA. (May 2013). Feedback from stakeholders (June-July) ETP official launching in spring 2013 Conference in Brussels Approval of the SRA. Later in spring/summer.
