The selected Junior Consultant will support and maintain several dashboards including Corporate Risk and Executive Dashboards platform to meet reporting and analysis needs of the business community. He/She will also be involved in the analysis, development and deployment of new reports and dashboards. The Consultant will cover all skills ranging from data mining and extraction from different sources (Database format, MS Office format, etc.), maintenance of BI data warehouse, the development of analytical reports and dashboards and dissemination into a portal. The Consultant should understand the source systems (SAP ECC6, SUMMIT, Oracle Database, SQLServer and MySQL), ETL principles for SAP PI products, Talend or ODI, BI database concepts, reporting tools, BI analysis concepts, dashboards and portals. 4 ANNEX 1: TERMS OF REFRENCE RECRUITEMENT OF A JUNIOR CONSULTANT BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) ANALYST 1. INTRODUCTION / CONTEXTE The African Development Bank uses several tools to make available Analytical reports and dashboards for institutional performance monitoring and decision making. The requirements concern the strategic, tactical and operational levels of reporting related to the board, Senior Management including ice-presidencies, Departments, Organizational Units and major functionalities in the Bank. This is mainly to set up and provide reliable and automated reports timely with minimum intervention of IT and users. This process will eliminate errors and allow to produce the Management Reporting as soon as possible. As such, the Corporate Information Technology department (CHIS) wants to strengthen its BI team to enable them to meet the ever increasing demands from multiple users. 2. OBJECTIVE The Bank intends to engage the services of a junior consultant to serve as Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst. The selected Junior Consultant will support and maintain several dashboards including Corporate Risk and Executive Dashboards platform to meet reporting and analysis needs of the business community. He will also be involved in the Analysis, development and deployment of new reports and dashboards. SCOPE OF THE SERVICES & DELIVERABLES The consultant responsibilities will include mainly the following: (i) Provide technical assistance in the use of Business Intelligence solutions by translating business requirements into technical solutions. (ii) Assist the BI team in organizing working sessions with key users to define all their needs with improvement of existing reports and description of the new reports.

Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications Analyse requirements data, verify requirements and create functional specifications. Deliver and manage Logical and Physical data models for data warehouse and data marts Develop and support the Data Warehouse using Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) methodologies: o Extract data from external sources; o Transform the data to fit business needs including verification and cleansing; o Load into the data warehouse Maintain Data Warehouse and Reporting Toolset, technical procedures and documentation. Establish and maintain agreed standards applicable to the work undertaken and ensure that they are adhered to. Provide knowledge transfer, training and technical documentation to the Bank's technical staff. 4. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED The candidate must have the following skills and qualifications: Master degree in computer science, software development or related business fields and/or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years experience as a customer-facing Business Analyst within an IT organization A solid understanding of key BI trends. Deep Knowledge and skills in data warehousing methodologies, BI technologies and tools Strong foundation in Business Intelligence Tools, Decision Support Systems, OLAP Technology and Multi-dimensional Data. Very good knowledge and experience in the BI development with OBIEE suite : analytics, publisher, dashboard, and so on Experience with ODI/Talend would be highly regarded. knowledge on SAP Objects, Oracle, MySQL and SQL Server Databases
6 Extensive knowledge and understanding of dimensional data warehouse design and implementation. Knowledge of data integration and data integrity issues and solutions. commercial and business management and analytical skills. communication and written skills. Experience in International Institution will be highly regarded Experience in managing and controlling the Business Requirements for a project (including prioritization, communication and quality management planning, change management and risk management) 5. DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT The contract is expected for 6 months (renewable if required). The start date is expected for 01 st February, LOCATION The work will be carried out at the Bank Headquarters in Abidjan, Cote D Ivoire. 7. SUPERVISION The Consultant will undertake the assignment under the supervision of the BI Team Leader within the IT department. 8. REMUNERATION The remuneration will be based on the Consultant experience and the Bank GUIDELINES ON INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANTS REMUNERATION.
