2 Our coaches Alexander Tanja Svetlana Igor Viktoria Irina Alexander Majorov (ice) Alexander has been an elite figure skater in the Russian national team and has been coached by Alexej Mishin. He has 5-year coaching university education and was a top trainer at the school of Olympic Reserve in St Petersburg. Among other things, he has trained Olympic gold medallist Alexei Yagudin (Salt Lake City, 2002). Alexander received the Russian government s medal for his commitment to figure skating. Since 1990 Alexander has been the head coach for Luleå KK and also trains the Swedish national team. Svetlana Banova (ice) Svetlana has been a coach for 30 years. She has a coaching education from Russia and a further education as a physiotherapist from Sweden. Svetlana has been working in Sweden since 1996, and she also has experience as a figure skating coach in both Norway and Germany. Currently, she is the head coach at VFKK (Gothenburg) and a physiotherapist at Sahlgrenska. Igor Bich (ice) Igor has earlier been a pair skater with the Russian national team. He has a 5-year university education in coaching and also taught at the university. During the 90 s, Igor coached several elite Swedish figure skaters. Igor is a qualified technical specialist (ISU) and has been on the panel as a technical specialist for the figure skating world championships in Goteborg, 2008, as well as several other championships. Igor has been a coach at Luleå s summer camp since 1991 and speaks both Swedish and Russian. Tanja Isayeva (ice) Tanja is originally from the Ukraine and has a university education in coaching from National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine (formerly Kyiv State Institute of Physical Education) in figure skating. This included both teaching as well as choreography. Tanja was a Ukrainan national champion from (while it was part of Soviet Union) and has both own experience as a skater and many years of experience as a coach. She has worked as the head coach in Sundsvalls KK, Timrå KK and IFK Helsingborg. Currently, she is the head coach in Gavleskäret (Gävle). She speaks both Swedish and Russian. Viktoria Stendahl (ice) Viktoria has an education in coaching from St. Petersburgs Physical Academy. She has worked as coach in both Russia and Sweden. In Sweden, she has worked for Stockholms KK, Höörs KK (head coach for 10 years) and she is currently at Slottstadens KK. Viktoria trains children and young adults from beginners to elite. She speaks both Swedish and Russian. Irina Majorov (Floor) Irina is responsible for floor exercises specifically adapted for figure skating, which includes dance, ballet, strength, Callanetics, Pilates and composition. She has a 4-year education as a dance teacher and choreographer as well as further educational courses from SKF, SOK and ISU. She was previously a choreographer at the school of Olympic reserve in St Petersburg. Currently, Irina is a coach at Luleå konståkningsklubb and teaches ballet at Luleå Rytmik & Balettförening. She speaks both Swedish and Russian.

3 Camp Information Period 1 Period 2 29 June-4 July 6 July- 11 July Training option 1: Lowest test level G/- Monday to Friday: Training on ice divided into three periods of 50 minutes each. 45 minutes floor exercises Saturday: One period of training on the ice for 50 min Sunday: Rest day Training option 2: Lowest test level G/- Monday to Friday: Training on ice divided into two periods of 50 minutes each. 45 minutes floor exercises Saturday: One period of training on the ice for 50 min Sunday: Rest day Training option 3 Alexander Majorov: Lowest test level 4/4 Monday to Friday: Training on ice divided into two periods of 75 minutes each 45 minutes floor exercises Saturday: One period of training on the ice for 50 min Sunday: Rest day Basic test training Depending on the number of people interested, we will offer a training session before the basic test. The level will be from Grund to Basic 4. We will be offering two sessions lasting 30mins/week Swedish Figure Skating Tests Depending on the number of people interested and the availability of judges, we will offer test sessions. Notification of the times for these tests sessions will be given during the camp period. Please fill in the application form for which level of test you would be interested in taking. Student trainers train together with their students during their ice training sessions as well as one additional ice training session per day with another group. Ice Rink and Sports hall Training takes place in Sunderbyn approx 10 km from Luleå centre, which is a quiet, scenic village close to the beach and local shop. Local buses go directly from the sports facility into town several times an hour. The ice rink and sports hall are situated next to each other. Accommodation Accommodation is at the Sunderby folkhögskolas (college) area (Västergård) 100 m from the

4 ice rink. There are mattresses at the college. Participants must provide themselves with a duvet, pillow and sheets or sleeping bag. During the camp week, there is always a camp parent who can be contacted by phone at +46 (0) To stay without a parent or accompanying adult, the ice-skater should be 11 years old and be able to take responsibility for their stay with regards to training times, mealtimes and bedtimes. Depending on available space, accompanying adults can stay and eat at the camp. If you would like to take up this option, please state this in the registration form. Alternative accommodation Sunderby folkhögskola (immediately adjacent to the camp lodgings) This is a hotel standard hostel adjacent to the camp lodgings. The food is served in the ice rink. Food over the weekend For those of you who have registered for lodging for the weekend between the two camp weeks, a simple breakfast and evening snack will be served at the lodging on Saturday night and Sunday morning. No evening meal will be served on Saturday nor will there be a lunch or evening meal on Sunday. Close by is a pizzeria ( as well as a local bus ( to Gammelstad centre and Luleå town centre. Arrival and enrolment Enrolment is between on the Sundays (28 June, 5 July) at the lodgings. Transport Transport to and from the train, bus or airport can be arranged. Request for transport be done by mailing Transport@luleakk.se by Information in the registration form for the placement in the correct group So that the groups can consist of ice skaters of as similar ability as possible, please be accurate when filling in the registration form. With this in mind, we maintain the right to put the ice skater together with trainers that they have not necessarily chosen. The trainers also

5 maintain the right to rearrange the groups after they have seen the ice skaters on the ice. 6 NDEASESS Ø Payment for the food, lodging and basic training is to be done on enrolment. Payment can be made by cash or by card. (Visa or Mastercard) Cancellation If a cancellation is made before the 31 May, all payments are refunded. In the case of a cancellation after 31 May, but two weeks before enrolment, 75 % of the camp fee will be refunded if the cancellation is due to illness or injury (a doctor s certificate is required). If the cancellation is for other reasons, 25 % of the camp fee will be refunded. In both cases the registration fee is non-refundable (500 kr). In case of illness or injury during the camp period, a refund of up to 50% of the camp fee will be given. The refund is reduced from 50% by 10% per completed day of the camp (or 5%/day if the participant is on a two week camp). Again a doctor s certificate for the injury or illness is required.
