1 User Guide Thank you for your interest in the King s College London Virtual Fair. In this document you will find instructions on how to register and login, and you will find information about all the functions our virtual fair provides. We hope this online resource will give you a useful introduction to the degree programmes at King s and provide more information on other opportunities open to King's students including study abroad, access to the careers team and what happens in the students union. Our virtual fair allows you to chat directly with academic and support staff, download programmes brochures and other relevant information as well as chat with other applicants and students during the event. We hope you enjoy the event and we look forward to chatting to you!

2 Accessing the Virtual Fair Register for the event based on your level of study. For Undergraduate study register at - For Postgraduate study register at - Once you register you can login to the event at (no - enter the address you registered with Password your password will be sent to you by Lost passwords please see login page Upload a profile picture straight from your computer by clicking on this icon. Edit your profile at any time by clicking on Your Profile on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. Add your Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin urls and add videos or information about Completing your Profile Once you register and log on, you can create a profile to network with other attendees and University staff at the event. To begin creating your profile, click on Your Profile on the taskbar at the bottom. All information posted on your profile will be visible to other users. We strongly recommend that you avoid posting personal information about yourself (such as your date of birth or home address) online, for your privacy and personal security.

3 Key Features and Event Areas Who s here See who is in the event, click to view their profile. Interactive Timetable Clicking on this symbol will display the interactive event timetable. Click on an item to be taken to the specific location. Event Bag Click here to view and manage the items you have collected in your event bag Event Hall Go there to see who is at the event and view or download information Networking Lounge Go there to take part in polls and the discussion board or check Facebook and Twitter pages Resources Includes information about the event, view or download information Lecture Theatre Watch subject talks/videos Student Support Find important information about Accommodation, Student Funding, Study Abroad and more.

4 Navigating the Virtual Fair Entering Halls and Booths 1. Find a booth Search to filter your booths. 2. View booth description Click on a booth to view the booth profile. 3. Enter the booth Click visit this booth to enter. 4. Leave a booth Look out for this icon to leave the booth and navigate back to the Hall.

5 Booth Functionality Videos Watch the subject video. Then go to chat to ask questions if you need to. Contact Use this to send a direct message. Resources View and add information to your event bag. Website View the website relevant to this booth. Wall Join in wall discussions here. Who s here Here you can see who is in each booth. Click on their name to view their profile.

6 Networking Lounge The Networking Lounge is an area where you can chat with other students, join discussions and add your vote in ongoing polls. Online Now Start private conversations with users in the chat room by using the Online Now tab. Polls There will be a number of polls to contribute to in this section. Simply click and vote. Discussions For more subject based discussions there are a series of message boards and blog topics in the Discussion Rooms. Social Community Connect with the event social community: Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. Resource Centre The Resource Centre is a central repository for viewing all content placed there by the event hosts - static information such as case studies or white papers in addition to other dynamic presentations in one place. Delete Delete the item from your event bag Look out for these symbols in the Resource Centre

7 Communicating with others at the event Visitor Profiles Each registered visitor has their own profile in which they are able to upload and display information about themselves including their social media credentials for others to connect with them. My Social View Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles and connect. Add Connections You can create your very own event buddy list by adding connections as you view other visitors profiles. V-Card Save their v-card direct to your event bag. Chat Chat instantly with other visitors in the event. A request will be sent to the selected user and you will be able to chat together in your personal chat room. Look out for chat requests from other users.

8 Using Your Event Bag As you move around the event you can add documents from the booths to your Event Bag by clicking on the star icon where you see it. Look out for these symbols as you move around the event Download Download straight to your PC. Preview Preview the item before you download or add to your event bag. Delete Delete the item from your event bag Booth Files View items you have added to your event bag from booths and the Resource Centre Booth V-Cards and User V-Cards When you visit the booths click contact to grab Hub V- Cards. User V cards can be found on visitor profiles.

9 FAQ s Where can I get information about the courses? Please visit the booths in the Event Hall to find videos and downloads about the courses and links to the website. Where can I get information about Finances? Please visit our Fees & Funding booth in our Student Support hall. I d like to visit the King s College London campus? How can I arrange a visit? Please refer to the website to learn about our campus open days and to schedule a visit. When I login it says my details don't match The biggest cause of this is when users copy their passwords out of the and add an extra space by accident.
