2 In a frame of EU program Black Sea Basin , which was prolong till 2016, the work in the cooperation project «Tourism Paths of the Black Sea Region began in 2014 and continuing till present. The Goal of the project is the trans bordering relation s forming for the economic and social development of BSB countries based on common tourist recourses using. Partners Countries: Greece, Ukraine, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Armenia, Turkey
3 Estimated results of the Action: In each country organize a seminar for new local products and cultural fields To increase the number of tourists coming to the region Create a network for the development of tourism and traditional products To promote traditional products on the market in Europe and the Black Sea Basin for economic development Learn about different business practices implemented by other countries
4 Overall Objectives of the Action: Creating a tourism operators network for sustainable development of tourism in the Black Sea basin Area Enlarging the benefits of the producers of traditional products by creating a cross border network Organizing events, to commonly promote their products on the European and Black Sea basin market Promoting the popularity of the Black Sea Traditional tastes and foods.

Institutions -Participants of the Project s Meetings: Odessa State Environmental University; Odessa Assosiation of Touroperators and Touragencies; Department for Culture and Tourism of Odessa Council; Odessa Regional Administration.
7 The Development of Tourism Activities in the Ukrainian Black Sea (Odessa Region) Odessa Regional Administration has a tourism department to facilitate tourism in the region. Odessa City Council has a Department for Culture and Tourism that works in the city limits and organises the annual International Tourism Fair each May in Odessa port. There are various organisations and associations (e.g. Green Tourism Association, Odessa Tourist Association, Odessa Sailing Association) that represent the private sector. In 2015, representatives of the tourism business, local authorities, NGOs, Universities and Scientific Institutions united in the Association of Regional Tourism Development "Big Odessa" for work with project proposals aimed at the development of tourism in the Odessa region based on the principles of Sustainable Development
8 The Development of Tourism Activities in the Ukrainian Black Sea (Odessa Region) To date, were developed the following strategies and sustainable tourism development programs in the region: Strategy for Sustainable Development "Ukraine ", where at the national level the main objective of regional sustainable development is to work out regional programs to promote tourism; The Program of Tourism Development in the City Odessa in years, where great attention is paid to the synergy of efforts of local authorities, tourism businesses and the public. As a result, the tourist season 2015 was very successful. On the Regional level, to date, not formed a unified program of tourism development in the Odessa area following the decentralization of power, the development of programs for the development of the Odessa region is assigned directly to the district administration areas.
9 The Development of Tourism Activities in the Ukrainian Black Sea (Odessa Region) Currently the total number of objects temporary accommodation for the period of years increased by 1.5 times or by 79 hotels, number of beds - in 1.7 times or by 5766 beds. The number of events (festivals, exhibitions, conferences, press tours, etc.), which contributed an additional attraction of tourists to the city. Odessa in 2015 held about 200 different festivals, conferences and exhibitions, which is 2 times more than in 2014.
10 Tourism Potential of the Ukrainian Black Sea (Odessa Region) Akerman Fortress (13 th -15 th c.) Bilhorod Dnistrovsky town The town Bilhorod Dnistrovsky carries such name since It emerged in the late VI c. B.C. as Tyras, an early Greek colony in Northern Black Sea area.
11 Tourism Potential of the Ukrainian Black Sea (Odessa Region) Danube Biosphere Reserve - the territory of reserve occupies the north of the Danube delta and runs along the Ukrainian part of Kiliya mouth; one seventh of the area - 464,03 km2 is the Black-Sea aquarium. The Danube Biosphere Reserve, which is located in Vylkove city, hosts a large number of rare plants and animals from the Red Book of Ukraine as well as other international red lists of Europe.

13 Tourism Potential of the Ukrainian Black Sea (Odessa Region) Vylkove The City Vylkove, which is the original capital of the Ukrainian part of the Danube Delta has had a rich and distinctive culture for more than two and a half centuries. Local people have not only maintained the traditions, customs, peculiar dialect and religious beliefs of the area, but also have become an integral part of caring for the environment. Excursion 0 Km is a place were the Danube River falls into the Black Sea Excursion Ukrainian Venice is an excursion by streets-canals of Vylkove after the Danube River spill Bird watching / Photo hunting For birdwatchers tour operators offer customized programs such as: one day excursions "The road to the birds," Island of birds and many others including multi-days tours.

15 The Main Results of the Project «Tourism Paths of the Black Sea Region : Development of new cross-border tourist routes; Joint cooperation of representatives of local authorities, tourism businesses, non-governmental organizations and the scientific community in the field of tourism development (the creation of the Association of Tourism Development in the Region "Big Odessa"); Development of tourist signs, tourist promotional products in English The development of tourism activity at the Ukrainian Black Sea bases on four main themes of Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria: Effective sustainability planning; Maximizing social and economic benefits for the local community; Enhancing cultural heritage; Reducing negative impacts to the environment.
