1 Faculty Liaison and Affirmative Action ext Dr. Heather Kissack is the HR Department Director whose main roles include coordination of Human Resources with the Faculty and for managing University Affirmative Action with you. Heather has overall knowledge of Human Resources and Faculty processes. She works to ensure that general human resource and Faculty shared processes are integrated as necessary and manages general Faculty needs with the Deans and Provost Office. Her responsibilities include: Ensuring Faculty and HR process integration that best serves the University Point of contact and knowledge expert on general faculty human resource needs Working closely with the Provost Office to coordinate HR planning and programming for faculty Lead efforts to align HR policies and practices between staff and faculty Counseling and problem solving on HR processes Coordination with Provost on annual activities such as contracts, performance reviews, employee relations Heather also serves as Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity manager. Duties include: Development of the annual affirmative action report Contact on general affirmative action statistics for various reports and contracts University of Dallas communication of affirmative action statistics and needs Leading efforts to standardize and implement equitable employment programs Development and delivery of resources to promote understanding of EEO, Affirmative Action, ADA, and other regulatory sources to enhance diversity awareness on campus Investigation and resolution of complaints of discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation involving faculty, staff, and/or third parties Certification of candidate pools for employment openings

2 Talent Acquisition Management ext Jasmine Williams is the University of Dallas Talent Acquisition Manager who can advise you in the process of hiring a new, replacement, or part-time employee. This includes forms to complete, job postings, time lines, and staff offer letters. She also shares student hiring with LaCoya. The Talent Acquisition area includes: Consulting on time lines and the process Selection of job posting requirements and site selection Recruitment branding Review of applicant pool Selecting applicants for review by the hiring manager Coordination of the phone or in person interviews with the HR Services Making offers to candidates Informs manager of acceptance and start date Coordinates with HR Services for the new hires so forms are complete, placement on payroll is not interrupted, and orientation occurs Note: Faculty hiring is run under a separate Faculty processes. However, some of the above will apply such as job posting, signed final paperwork, and maintenance of employee files and input of new hire data.

3 Human Resources Shared Services and Reporting Analytics ext LaCoya Williams works across all HR functional managers. She is also responsible for maintaining and advancing high quality support and solutions across the university community. Unlike the functional HR managers who have a specific area of responsibility, her area is all things to all people. LaCoya has knowledge and visibility across the HR office and if she cannot provide the answer, she will obtain it for you. She has an HR Coordinator, Erica Reynolds, who works for her to ensure the integrity of employee data in the Banner and other systems. LaCoya and Erica can provide advice on: Employee life cycle data: from new hire data entries to termination and all changes in employee status, pay, promotion, etc. Job codes, department numbering New Hire paperwork Posting and closing of job vacancies Compensation Reports Entering benefits data Background checks Unemployment claims Employee general reports I-9 verification Employment verification Determining final pay Employee Files and Records Data integrity Coordinates applicant interviews, training room schedules, etc. Student Hiring LaCoya and Jasmine work with the following student hiring: The work opportunity program with the Provost s Office Department Managers who have budgeted student employee positions Financial Aid on the work study program Interns and graduate assistants
