1 Vision Statement The vision of the Alumni Association is to assure the continued success, and future growth of Holy Cross of San Antonio in its mission of Educating Hearts and Minds. Mission Our mission is to bring together the diverse talents, experience, and knowledge of Holy Cross alumni to create, organize and manage events and activities that enhance and add momentum to the fundraising efforts necessary to insure the current and future financial stability of the school. Core Values The core values guiding the work of the alumni association revolves around our dedication to the mission of the school and our SERVICE to insure it is accomplished. These values are fundamental to our success and drive the behavior of those involved with the Association. S strengthen the financial future of Holy Cross E excellence in fundraising efforts R recruitment of alumni and private sector supporters V vigorous support for school programs that foster growth and financial stability I increase awareness of fundraising programs and activities with alumni and the community C continuous improvement in communications and efforts to enhance alumni relations E enthusiastic commitment to achieving the Strategic Plan Goals 1
2 Goal I: To increase alumni recruitment, engagement, and awareness efforts to strengthen their commitment and support of HCAA programs and activities. Objective 1: Secure and manage a reliable and accurate alumni database to develop and improve recruitment and engagement activities. Strategy 1: Outsource the task to develop and manage the HCAA database in a secure, flexible and reliable manner. Strategy 2: Use HCAA membership in conjunction with other internal resources to develop and manage the HCAA database in a secure, flexible and reliable manner. Alumni President and Vice President HCAA Database Committee HC Director of Development Alan Bordelon Milestones/Timeline: 1. Receive database information by end of April Develop Technology Sub-Committee by end of June 2015 (See Strategy #3) Evaluate/develop project parameters by [date] - RFI Develop high-level/summary/rfp by [date] Receive and evaluate proposals from vendors by [date] Test and evaluate various options/sources/tools/recommendations on database development/construction Identify three vendors to assist in development and management of database by mid August 2015 Implement by Fall of 2015 Strategy 3: Create a HCAA Technology Sub-Committee to serve as liaison and facilitate coordination between vendor and HCAA HCAA Technology Sub-Committee HC Director of Advancement & Development Milestones/Timeline: 1. Journalism students) to develop/conceptualize doable newsletter Social Media 1. 6 Goal III: To enhance and/or develop an Alumni and Community Outreach Program Objective 1: Communicate to the Holy Cross internal community particularly the stake holders of the existing and continued need to nurture and sustain a vigorous Outreach Program Strategy 1: Organize a series of presentations at scheduled key school events to emphasize the financial needs of the school and seek commitments Outreach/Volunteer Sub-Committee Communications & Recruitment Sub-Committee : 1. Identify members for the Outreach/Volunteer Sub-Committee by [date] 2. Sub-Committee to develop a Summary of Needs report to Alumni Executive Board by [date] 3. Recruit other HC volunteer organizations (PTC, Booster, etc.) to enlist for upcoming events by [date] Strategy 2: Schedule a series of specific outreach events to emphasize and strengthen Alumni Relations Outreach/Volunteer Sub-Committee Communications & Recruitment Sub-Committee : 1. Develop a social events calendar by [date] Objective 2: Seek and establish new community partnerships within and outside the HCHS service area to broaden corporate sponsorships Strategy 1: Identify individuals within the Holy Cross community who have ties, relationships, or access to the business community, charitable organizations and individuals that may be approachable for support Strategy 2: Organize a series of presentations by an in-house briefing team to the business community, charitable organizations and individuals at their location 6

Identify and select team members by summer of 2015 Objective 2: Review and evaluate all existing fundraising events and activities to include those not under purview of the HCAA Strategy 1: Perform a cost benefit analysis on each Strategy 2: Perform a SWOT analysis on each Strategy 3: Determine if realignment and/or re-conceptualization of fundraising events and activities is appropriate and necessary Strategy 4: Realign fundraising events and activities based on results of cost benefit and SWOT analysis Strategy 5: Establish guidelines to ensure vendor/sponsorship coordination in order to maximize efforts to support HC organizations 7
