Ball machines may be rented by the hour, or a ball machine package can be purchased. By the Hour: Applicable winter or summer court rate plus $10.00 / hour* Packages $ / year (plus applicable court time rate) * Eligible Junior Walk-Ons using a ball machine will only be charged $10.00 per hour (see page 3). All ball machine packages are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Hinsdale Racquet Club s policy states that all ball machines are to be set up and put away by the member using them. Please use the specialty balls designed for our ball machines. Miscellaneous Guest Fee: $15.00 Demo Racquet Rental: $4.00 Private Lessons* [ membership required ] The Club will assist with the scheduling and payment of private lessons for the convenience of its members. However, scheduling, rates and other details are at the personal discretion of the tennis professionals, each of whom acts as an independent service provider and not as an employee of the Club with respect to private lessons. You must be a member of the Hinsdale Racquet Club to take private lessons. Our private lesson rate chart is located at the front desk. * HRC s policy on cancellations will be strictly enforced (see page 3). Initiation Fee $300 Initiation Fee $275 Monthly Dues $48 Monthly Dues $71 hrc information You only live once, but you get to serve twice! ~ Author Unknown On-line Access Members may access their accounts on-line to view & edit account information, pay bills, reserve court time and register for classes. The managers or front desk staff will be happy to assist members who are accessing their accounts for the first time. Court Reservations Members may reserve court time up to six days in advance. Family Membership ~ Junior Membership ~ Parents and their children. Any child 18 years of age or younger. Initiation Fee $325 Annual Fee $220 Monthly Dues $94 No monthly dues Permanent Court Time Permanent court time cannot be cancelled. However, we understand that you may not always be able to make use of your court. Therefore, you may notify the Club no less than one week in advance and we will attempt to sell your time for you. If successful, we will issue a credit voucher (less a $5.00 service fee) redeemable for court fees or lessons during the season. Cancellations If you must cancel reserved court time or a private lesson or private group participation, we require 24-hour notification. Applicable charges will apply for cancellations not made 24 hours prior to your reservation or private lesson/group. Guest Policy Members may bring guests to the Club. All guests must be registered at the front desk. A guest fee plus all applicable usage charges will be due prior to your reservation. Session Fee All session fees are due at the time of sign-up for groups and leagues. Any pro-rating will be done at the time of sign-up only. There will be no credits issued for missed session dates. Credits will be given for group lesson cancellations only before the session begins. Billing Procedures HRC requires authorization for auto-deduct from a credit/debit card for automatic payment each month. Should you wish to change your payment method for any given month, the payment must be received no later than the 9th of the month. * * * All of our memberships are yearly and require a minimum of 12 months. They cannot be suspended for any part of the year, except for medical reasons. Cancellation Policy: In order to cancel any non-junior membership, a written notice expressing that interest must be submitted to the Club. The termination will take effect thirty (30) days following the receipt of the written notice. Any person who desires to reactivate a cancelled membership will be subject to the full initiation fee. Tennis is a perfect combination of violent action in an atmosphere of tranquility. ~ Billie Jean King HRC Excellence intaking Tennis place Monthly member statements will be ed on the first of each month. Statements include the current month s dues and the previous month s activity. Automatic Credit-Debit Card Processing will be done on the 10th of each month for all outstanding balances. HRC strives for accuracy on all member accounts; however, errors do occur. We ask that you review your monthly statement promptly and alert us to any discrepancies. A $25.00 fee will be charged for any returned check. The Club reserves the right to restrict charge privileges and the use of the Club to members whose accounts are in arrears Dress Code Proper tennis attire is required on court at all times, including proper tennis shoes. Denim is not permitted. Respect Please respect other members by displaying proper etiquette at all times. We also ask that you refrain from bringing any food or drinks onto the courts. Refunds Refunds will be given only in the event of Club cancellations for groups or lessons that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements. In the event of injury, a written doctor s note will be required in order to receive a refund for missed classes. Refunds will not be issued in the event of disciplinary action. M a k e - Up s The Club does not offer make-up sessions for missed lessons, groups or classes. Junior Walk-On Junior members enrolled in the current Club Programming session are eligible for FREE walk-on time. Reservations may be made no more than 1½ hours in advance. Any non-member (including parents) playing with a junior member will be required to pay applicable court fees and guest fees. Junior walk-on time is limited to 1½ hours of play. Juniors who fail to use their reservations will be charged applicable court fees. Demo Racquets Demo racquets are available to members and their guests for a rental fee. Up to five demo racquet rentals may be applied towards the purchase of a new racquet. A few complimentary demo racquets are also available. Private Parties The Hinsdale Racquet Club offers its members the opportunity to use club facilities for private parties when time permits. Management would be happy to help members schedule & plan their personal events and arrange for tennis professional participation if desired. The Club reserves the right to cancel or modify any program due to insufficient enrollment. The Club also reserves the right to cancel, modify, or add policies at any time. The Club is not responsible for the loss, transfer, or theft of any property. A late fee of $10.00 will be charged on all accounts 30 days past due. A fee of $15.00 will be charged on any credit or debit card returned.hrc

4 4 Hinsdale Racquet Club Pros JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT 13 JAYDON BARELLO: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL A 1996 graduate of Hinsdale Central, Jaydon joined our staff in He played two years of tennis at Ohio State University and one year of tennis at DePaul where he holds a B.A. degree in Broadcast Communications. Before coming to HRC, Jaydon taught tennis at Rush-Copley in Aurora for six years. He has joined Dali during the summer at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville. Jaydon is involved in many of our junior and adult classes at the Club. Outgoing and a tennis standout! Jaydon Barello Super Excellence The Hinsdale Racquet Club is home to one of the most competitive junior programs in the Nation. Our program is designed for group players of the same age and skill levels, and is directed by HRC s Head Pro, Dali Mihajlovic. All levels of the program are structured to help a player achieve their goals: whether it be playing on the Pro Tour or receiving a Division I NCAA scholarship. Super Excellence Programs will cover all aspects of a tennis player: technique, endurance, competition, performance, fitness and mental conditioning. The key components of our successful program are central to many different academies around the world. BLAKE BAZARNIK: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL A 2015 graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Blake immediately started teaching at HRC in our summer camp programs. He played his high school tennis at Stevenson where he was the Illinois State Singles Champion in Blake was ranked as high as #6 in the nation in Boys 18 singles. His first two years of college tennis were spent at Vanderbilt University before transferring to the University of Illinois for his junior year. A member of two Sweet Sixteen teams while at Illinois, Blake s team was ranked as high as #2 in the nation during his senior year. High-energy tennis with championship credentials! Blake Bazarnik TOM CAHILL: Director of Tennis, U.S.P.T.A. Tom has been teaching tennis for 30 years and is U.S.P.T.A. certified. A graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, he was Director of Junior Tennis at HRC before becoming Director of Tennis in He is also the Director of Tennis at LaGrange Country Club. Tom comes from a whole family of top tennis competitors. Ask Tom about the HRC Tennis Experience specifically designed for you. You will love it! Energy, enthusiasm and excitement! Advantage, Tom Cahill ROGER CLARKE: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL, U.S.P.T.A. Roger graduated in December 2011 from DePaul University with a degree in Psychology. Roger became a lifetime junior member at our Club in 2000 and has a long program association with HRC. For the last 9 years, he has taught tennis with Tom Cahill during the summer at the LaGrange Country Club. Roger loves to work with both children and adults and is U.S.P.T.A. certified. A lifetime competitor at HRC! Roger Clarke Weekly Theme Students focus each week on a specific theme which can include strokes such as groundstrokes, net play, and serving, along with concepts such as quickness on the court, mental toughness, depth and consistency. Students will be grouped based on ability and work on drills, point and match play, all focused on the central theme for the week. Competitive Environment Students train with their peers, pushing one another each and every day to raise the level of their game. They engage in practice matches in order to gain experience competing against all different levels and styles of players. Coaches Students work with the same core group of coaches every day during each session. Coaches will track student progress and focus on improving all aspects of their game with consistency. Player Accountability The HRC Super Excellence Programs provide students with a great opportunity to take their game to the next level, but it will be up to them to reach their potential. Starting with their performance profile, students must be constantly setting goals for themselves and focusing on achieving those goals. Additional tools such as match evaluations and mental skills training will help players become tougher competitors. We offer three different classes based on the level and age for our juniors. Emphasis will be on serve and volley, return and volley, and doubles strategy. Singles and doubles match play will be included. Jakub is a fall 2009 addition to our staff and a graduate of Montana State, where he played four years of tennis. A native of Poland, he coached boys tennis at Nazareth Academy in LaGrange during the 2010 season. Jakub brought his love of tennis as a boy in Poland to the Big Sky Country of Montana. You will be pleased with this young man s tennis talents and teaching ability. He makes the game of tennis fun! We think you will agree! Well-traveled and well-suited for tennis excellence! Jakub Dybala TODD FISHER: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL, U.S.P.T.A. Todd is a graduate of Ferris State University where he majored in Tennis Management and Marketing. He came to the Hinsdale Racquet Club in 2006 after a two-year stint at Houston s Westside Tennis Club. Todd is also the Director of Tennis at the LaGrange Field Club during the summer. Todd handles our racquet stringing at the Club. He s a gentleman, a professional and knows how to make tennis fun! Tennis...in a league of his own! Todd Fisher MARCY HENDRICKS: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL, U.S.P.T.A., P.T.R. A fall 2012 addition to the HRC staff, Marcy comes to us from Score Tennis & Fitness where she was the Head Tennis Professional for 16 years. Nationally-ranked as a junior and state singles champion in Indiana, Marcy received a full tennis scholarship to Big Ten powerhouse Purdue University where she was an all-american singles player. She is currently the Girls 18 s USTA Fed Cup coach & a USTA Regional Training Center coach, and serves on the Midwest Section coaches commission board. Marcy has taught 25 players over the years who have received full-ride tennis scholarships to colleges & universities. She enjoys working with kids of all ages & abilities and is most known for her technical & tactical coaching style. A life-long winning tradition! A graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Business Administration, Rad taught at the O.B.R.F.C. for the last 16 years. He has worked with juniors from pee wees to state champions. Rad s experience also includes designing adult singles and doubles drills for ladies (2.8 to 4.5), NITTL team drills, and travel teams for men. Before coming to Oak Brook, Rad taught at Chicago Highlands, White Eagle Country Club, and Hinsdale Central High School, and ran a high-level summer camp in Western Springs. 6 6 Hinsdale Racquet Club Pros JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT 11 EMILY LAWENT: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL Emily is a 2012 addition to the pro staff at HRC. Her four years of high school tennis in the Milwaukee area led to playing college tennis at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, where she was 1st Team All Horizon League in her junior year. Emily graduated in December 2011 with degrees in Spanish and Elementary Education. A youthful, energetic & outgoing teacher of tennis Emily Lawent JIM LEZATTE: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL, P.T.R. (10 and Under Professional) Jim attended Ferris State University and has been teaching at the Hinsdale Racquet Club for 17 years. He specializes in working with young, beginning junior players, utilizing the new USTA Quickstart Program format. Since he was in high school, Jim has introduced the game of tennis to countless tots & junior beginners. Jim also runs our Men s Drills and our Quickstart Tournament League at HRC during the regular season. He is a teaching professional who understands the game and makes learning fun. Tots & juniors love Jim! The embodiment of tennis as a life-long sport! Jim Lezatte DALI MIHAJLOVIC: HEAD PRO, U.S.P.T.A.-P1, P.T.R. and DIRECTOR OF ADULT PROGRAMMING Dali graduated from Indiana State University with a B.S. in Finance and received an MBA from Kaplan University. He played on the competitive professional circuit for 16 years, including several outstanding Junior Davis Cup teams. Dali is also the Director of Tennis at the Cress Creek Country Club. Dali is in charge of our adult and Super Excellence programming at HRC. Dali builds consistent winners in tennis & in life! Committed to Excellence! Learning to utilize control, spin, and position to their advantage while in a cooperative rally with partner. Learning no ad scoring. (Recommended 1-2 days a week and private lesson) * 6,7,8,9,10 Orange Ball Play Days offered twice a month scoring with USTA Orange Rules while having fun competing against others. * Player will need to maintain technique during rally before moving up a level. Player is technically sound and tactically engaged. Some repetition with emphasis on point play and competition. (Recommended Playing at least twice a week should be taking private lessons at this point) Wednesday 4:00 5:30 p.m. Friday 4:00 5:30 p.m. Sunday 8:30 10:00 a.m. Class Fees per session: member $345 non-member $464 Tournament Development (11 & under by invitation only) MILOS MIHAJLOVIC: TEACHING PROFESSIONAL, P.T.R. Coach Milos joined the HRC pro staff in 2014 and has been teaching tennis for nine years now. A product of a sports family (his father was a professional soccer player in Serbia), Milos spends part of his teachingtime at the Lockport Park District. Since 2007, he has also worked with his brother Dali during the summer season at the Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville. Never at a loss for enthusiasm! Milos Mihajlovic Orange or Green Ball 60 or 78 Foot Court 1½ hours Purpose: Players have completed Orange 2. Players are beginning to determine styles of play and how they match up against other styles. Continued emphasis on serving and returning continued building on the foundation from Orange. Players will use green ball on full 78 foot court and also orange ball on 60 foot court in hopes of competing in USTA 10 and Under matchplay. Matchplay will be both singles and doubles. Single and doubles tactics as well as sportsmanship and mental toughness are emphasized. Motor skills, movement and balance are stressed. Includes activities and games. (Recommended 1-2 days a week) Monday 10:00 10:30 a.m. Tuesday 10:00 10:30 a.m. Thursday 1:30 2:00 p.m. Class Fees for Mommy/Daddy & Me per session: $95 Tots Ages 3,4,5 Foam and Red Ball 36 Foot Court 1 hour Purpose: Development of Agility, Balance and Coordination, forming the skills to serve, rally and score. (Recommended 1-2 days a week plus a ½ hour private) * At this level, students are able to take part in Play Days! once or twice a month fun competition against many players learning about sportsmanship. Red Junior Beginners Ages 6,7,8* Red Ball 36 Foot Court 1 hour Purpose: Six mini-nets fit on 1 court 12 students on 1 court with 2 tennis pros. Fun team-based games. Beginning the development of footwork, patterns of play, rallies with other students, and spin and grip correlation. (Recommended 1-2 days a week plus a private lesson) * This level is also invited to Play Days with Advanced Tots students. To move to Orange Level, player must be able to place ball short, deep and side-to-side, have an overhead serve and be able to hit returns in cross court. Bill attended Southern Illinois University after playing varsity tennis locally at Hinsdale South High School. Bill has been teaching for 20 of his 24 years at HRC. In addition to his position as Director of Junior Tennis, he is an Off-Site Director for our Summer Camp, and our senior pro when it comes to HRC teaching longevity. His many accolades include Midwest USPTA Coach of the Year, USTA s Coaching Legend Award (2014), and the Chicago Tennis District s Hall of Fame Induction (2015). Coach Jack s junior players have amassed over sixty USTA gold balls in national tournaments. His students have gone on to tennis success in the ACC, SEC, Big Ten, Pac 12 and other conferences. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a double major in Biological Sciences and Psychology, where she played collegiate tennis. Alex also holds a Masters Degree in Sport and; Health Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology.
