Bulls over 6 months must be rung or humbugs used. Bulls must be handled by two people at all times. Stewards have the right to withdraw any animal that appears to constitute a risk to the public. This years Show is currently exempt from pre movement TB testing 1

2 ENTRY FORM - Entries close 30 th May 2016 PRIZES/ENTRY FEES Entry fee 4.00 per class. The North Yorkshire County Show Cattle Committee Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be presented to the exhibitor with most points in all Cattle classes. Points: 1 st 3 pts, 2 nd 2 pts, 3 rd 1pt. The North Yorkshire County Show Trophy will be presented for the Supreme Dairy Champion. Champions from Dairy Section to compete. The Midland Bank Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the Supreme Beef Champion. Interbreed Championships: Dairy Breeds will be judged by all of the Dairy Breed Judges. Beef Breeds will be judged by all of the Beef Breed Judges. Rosette for each Supreme Champion and Reserve. Prize money in the cattle classes will be as follows: Rosettes for champions 1 st 2 nd 3 rd 4 th Rosette Rosette Rosette Rosette JUDGING TIMES; Dairy cattle at am prompt. All Beef cattle must arrive in time to and be ready for judging from am onwards. EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE Cattle and Sheep Exhibitors will be issued with a wagon pass. Persons travelling in a separate vehicle from their stock may wish to purchase advance admission tickets. These may be purchased for 7.00 each if ordered and paid for on the entry form. Persons entering the Showfield without a ticket will have to pay. HOLSTEIN Judge: Stuart Hassall, Hassall Brothers, Unit 5 Castle Farm, Bickerton Road, Cholmondeley, Cheshire SY14 9QA Judging commences at 10.00am prompt A Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be presented for the Champion Female in the Holstein classes. Championship rosette. Holstein UK offers a Championship Award rosette, to the exhibitor of the female champion. The reserve will also receive a rosette. The Associated Co-operative Creameries Ltd Perpetual Trophy for the best cow in milk. Holstein UK offers rosettes for the Best Exhibitor Bred and Best udder. 201 Maiden Heifer born before 31 March In-calf Heifer, to calve at not older than 32 months. 203 Heifer in milk, having calved at less than 32 months. 204 Junior Cow in milk, 2 nd or 3 rd lactation. 205 Senior cow in milk, 4 th or subsequent lactation 206 Dry Cow, any age. The committee reserve the right to split or amalgamate classes 204 and 205 subject to entries. Exhibitors - please note Class 219 2

Rosette for Reserve Champion. The Jersey Cattle Society offers a special rosette and prize card to the best cow or heifer, registered in the Herd Book and bred by an exhibitor who is a member of the Jersey Cattle Society.) 207 Calf up to 9 months on show day. 208 Maiden Heifer aged up to 18 months but no older on show-day. 209 Heifer in calf, to calve at not older than 32 months. 210 Heifer in milk, having calved at less than 32 months. 211 Cow in milk, having had second calf or more 212 Cow in calf, carrying second calf or over. Exhibitors - please note Class 219 SPECIAL The Peter Tweddle Challenge Trophy will be presented for the winner of the Group Class. 213 Group of three pedigree dairy animals, owned by the exhibitor. Each to be entered in its own class. Prizes 1 st 40, 2 nd 20, 3 rd 10 INTERBREED YOUNG BREEDER ES Open to Young Breeders under 26 years of age on 1 st January The Frank Hadfield Perpetual Challenge Trophy and a Championship rosette will be presented for the Champion calf. The Lysis Computers Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be presented to the Exhibitor with most points in this section. Points 1 st 3pts, 2 nd 2 pts, 3 rd 1 pt. The Surge Milking Equipment Perpetual Plaque will be presented to the Best Junior Showman The Barker Trophy will be presented to the Best Showman.
