2 2385 Bandera Hwy Kerrville-Schreiner Park is a beautiful 517-acre recreation and camping park on the Guadalupe River. Our park is home to an abundance of wildlife including whitetail and black buck antelope, axis deer, rabbits, fox, birds, butterflies and more. Full hook-up water / electric & sewer RV sites available in 30/50 amp; tent sites, cabins, dining / recreation halls, playground, volleyball / basketball courts also available in this patrolled family oriented park. Smoking in parks is prohibited by City ordinance. Kerrville-Schreiner Park began as a city park built by the C.C.C. in the 1930 s then deeded to the State of Texas and became a State Park. On February 13, 2004, Kerrville-Schreiner Park was transferred back to the City of Kerrville under authority of Texas House Bill Improvements to the park included the addition of sewer connections to both RV camping loops on the river side of the park, 23 new mini-cabins, shoreline stabilization and water sports area development, renovation of restrooms and group facilities. For reservations call (830) or questions to kerrpark@kerrvilletx.gov. The Parks & Recreation Department is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Any persons over the 8 covered in the nightly fee, are subject to the Extra Person Occupancy Fee as listed on the current Kerrville- Schreiner Park fee schedule. Any vehicles over the 3 covered in the nightly fee are subject to a $5 Excess Vehicle Fee. A $150 security and cleaning deposit is required; refundable by check mailed from the City of Kerrville, provided everything is left in acceptable condition. Allow at least 10 business days for the check to be processed. Any persons over the 4 covered in the nightly fee, are subject to the Extra Person Occupancy Fee as listed on the current Kerrville- Schreiner Park fee schedule. Any vehicles over the 2 covered in the nightly fee are subject to a $5 Excess Vehicle Fee. A $25 security and cleaning deposit is required; refundable by check mailed from the city of Kerrville, provided everything is left in acceptable condition. Picnic table outside the mini-cabin Campfire pit or barbeque grill or combination unit Broom and dust pan A smoke detector A fire extinguisher Visitors may bring foam pads, air mattresses, or cots in order to sleep additional people. Tents may also be set up next to the mini-cabin. All mini-cabins are located near restroom facilities with flush toilets and hot showers. 6 GROUP DINING HALL Daily Rate: $ PARK FACILITIES Daily rental covers park entrance fees for up to 100 people at the facility. This is also the maximum capacity per City Fire Ordinance. Kerrville-Schreiner Park $25 Annual Permits may be used to cover the entrance fee requirement. Use of this facility requires a $50 security and cleaning deposit, refundable by check mailed from the City of Kerrville, provided everything is left in acceptable condition. Allow at least 10 business days for the check to be processed. Rental period is from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. To use facility overnight, two consecutive days must be secured. All day use visitors must exit the park prior to 10 p.m. when the gates are locked. Only registered overnight customers may remain in the park after the 10 p.m. closing hour. Each vehicle entering the park must register and are required to obtain a vehicle permit from the Park Headquarters Office. Special Notes: ABSOLUTELY NO PETS are allowed (62nd Legislature, CH. 383) SMOKING IS PROHIBITED THE GROUP DINING HALL IS NOT AIR-CONDITIONED. It is a screened building. PARKING ON THE GRASS IS NOT PERMITTED Parking is limited to the front of the building in designated spaces only. Additional parking is available near the boat ramp, to the west and east of the Group Recreation Hall and across from the Lower Group Picnic area. DO NOT BLOCK THE STREET OR THE TRAILER SANITARY DUMP STATION FOR OVERNIGHT USE NO BEDDING is provided. Load up the car and bring the kids, blankets, drinks and a flashlight for a free evening outside at the movies. Please remember that glass containers are not permitted in the park. No registration required, just show up and enjoy the evening with a movie and fresh popcorn! The summer Movies in the Park will be shown at the Kerrville-Schreiner Park Amphitheater (2385 Bandera Hwy) at 9:00 p.m. All movies are G-Rated through PG-13 Rated. 11 PARK HOST/VOLUNTEER PROGRAM Guidelines: Exchange 24 hours of volunteer work per week for full hook-up site. Minimum commitment (1) month; maximum (4) months; extension of stay may be possible (at discretion of Park management subject to availability). OUTDOOR / MAINTENANCE Closing park in evening / night: - Lock gate at 10:00 pm General outdoor duties: - Pick up trash in campsites and along park roads - Empty small trash cans / barrels into dumpsters - Clean fire rings - Stock toilet paper in restrooms - Clean restrooms when necessary (especially after regular staff is off-duty) - Sweep and rake around campsites - Clean cabins - Rake and bag leaves - Pick up fallen tree limbs - Water trees - Minor repairs (when feasible); otherwise report repairs that need to be done - Assist Park Rangers, as directed - Be available for campers needing assistance after office hours, locating sites and giving directions - Notify Ranger-on-call of complaints and disturbances - Other duties as needed, or according to abilities and skills

Excess parking fee is required at campsites with more than two vehicles (including trailers). Campsite must be kept clean: all trash must be picked up before you leave. Dumpsters are conveniently located. Gray water and black water must be discharged only at dump stations. WASHING OF VEHICLES IS NOT PERMITTED Only one unit per site is permitted to hook up to utilities; a maximum of 8 people per campsite or cabin. PETS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEASH. PICK UP AFTER THEM. NO PETS ON BEACH OR IN WATER. ALL BUILDINGS ARE PET FREE AND SMOKE FREE. Campsite transfers ore only permitted upon receipt of a new permit. Valid permit is required on windshield of each vehicle in the park. ALL VEHICLES ARE TO REMAIN ON THE PAVEMENT. Numbered sites are for overnight camping only. State Hwy 173 splits the park into two sides, the Hill Side (larger side) and the River Side (smaller side on the Guadalupe River). Our park is home to an abundance of wildlife including deer, rabbits, fox, lizards, and more. Leashed pets are welcome however prohibited in all buildings / facilities.
