2 Our Philosophy OUTSTANDING PORTRAITS In our mission to deliver impeccable quality with creative results, we will shoot some images off-centre, angled and tightly cropped. We believe these methods allow us to capture a more personal view of the graduate. However, this is your session and if you want to keep things traditional, let us know before hand. RETAKE POLICY With the ability for the graduate to choose their own proofs at their session, the need for retakes is very rare. However, should you wish to have your photos retaken simply book another sitting and bring your pose sheet with you to show your photographer what you would like photographed differently. If you feel you need more than 12 poses to order from you may book a second sitting at a $30 charge, however, only one deposit may be deducted on the order form. At Icon we believe that you are more than your cap and gown. You are a creative, intelligent and diverse person! Your graduation portraits should reflect that. Our goal at Icon is to help you celebrate your achievement with creative photography that captures more than what you look like, it shows who you are. Our program allows you to customize how your portraits are taken. Whether you want to get creative with modern cropping and casual poses or stay formal with traditional shots, you leave knowing you re taking home the poses YOU want. We are especially excited to offer our Virtual Background Program using Green Screen Technology. This feature allows you to alter the look of your image instantly. Choose from our selection of background images to make your portrait perfect! We still have our selection of Traditional backgrounds available to choose from at the time of your session. These give us the flexibility to offer more creative photography with wider shots, or full length posing, that just isn t available with the Virtual Background Program. We can mix and match between both systems to tailor a set of images specifically for you. Your sitting will take approximately minutes and you will receive a pose sheet with a sampling of 8 poses together with an Online Gallery Code to view your full sitting. All your images will be placed online within 5 working days unless otherwise indicated. You will have the chance to review them up-close and interact with the Virtual Background feature. Keep in mind the ability to change backgrounds will not be available on our traditional shot poses. Icon is dedicated to bringing you a higher level of photography that allows the graduate to express who they are through their portraits. 1

3 INSTANT RESULTS! Our Virtual Background Program uses Green Screen Technology to bring you more options and flexibility when choosing your graduation portraits. EASY TO USE With the click of a button you can alter your images instantly. View them up close to get a better look and decide if you need to address any specific retouching concerns. HAND-COLOURING Enhance your B&W graduation portrait with custom hand coloring. Our talented Digital Artists will add touches of muted color to the roses, sash, hair or eyes to make your portrait truly unique. - $40 per pose Auto Retouching: Auto Retouching is included in the price of your portrait package. It is specific to minimal glass glare reduction, facial blemishes, softening fine lines, skin discolouration and subtly whitening teeth. Each finished portrait will be colour and density balanced. Custom Retouching: For an additional charge of $40 per pose, we provide more extensive retouching (eg removal of hair (fly aways), piercings, tattoos, and facial wrinkles may be possible). It is beneficial to contact us in order to see if the custom retouching you require is possible, before purchasing your portraits. If you do require custom retouching make sure you specify in the Notes section what you would like done and to which pose. Braces: They are a part of life but they don t have to be a part of your portraits. For a charge of $150 per pose you can have them removed. Otherwise you may schedule your portrait session once your braces have actually been removed. PLEASE NOTE Swapping out heads from pose to pose is not an option. The background can be changed only on green screen images. 2

4 Ordering Information Our graduation program has transitioned to a complete online order process, allowing the graduate and parents the ease of viewing their portraits in a print ready manner. View your portraits with different backgrounds, choose from pre-designed or custom packages as well as a variety of specialty and novelty items. Finished portrait packages will be delivered directly to your home free of charge. ASPECT RATIO Keep in mind that 5x7 and 4x6 images are narrower and will cut more off the sides of the portrait. 8x10 Crop 5x7 Crop 4x6 Crop SHEET CONFIGURATIONS Sheet based ordering allows us to give you more prints at a reduced cost. There are 7 different sheet configurations to choose from; A Sheet - 8x10 B Sheet - 2 5x7 C Sheet - 3 4x6 D Sheet - 8 Wallets (2.5x3.5) E Sheet - 1 5x7 and 4 Wallets G Sheet - 2 4x6 and 4 Wallets H Sheet - 16 Mini Wallets (1.25x1.75) A B C H D E G Be aware your portraits will be printed as the proof poses appear on screen (or your Portrait Sample Card), with the exception of aspect ratio. The image you see on your pose sheet is based upon an 8x10 crop. Cropping for 5x7, 4x6, or wallets will give you a longer, narrower image. Our Production Department will crop your images to create the best possible portrait and leave room for framing. If you are unsure as to the cropping or positioning of an image please contact our office before submitting your order. If you have specific cropping requirements, please detail the pose number and instructions in the Notes section. 3

5 Online Ordering Instructions Visit our site at Click the link, Online Ordering on our Home page. Enter your Online Proof Code to access your images. The opening page allows you to view your pictures, compare and identify your favorites and select different backgrounds. Follow the steps below to place your order: POSE NUMBERS Are found on the Portrait Sample Cards printed off at the end of every photo session. The cards contain your Online Gallery Code. The pose is named with your first and last name, followed by a numerical value. Online Graduation Portrait Viewing and Ordering Portrait Sample Card Click the Products tab in the top right corner. Select the package/product. Select the pose of your choice and then click on your background choice and drag the image into the DROP HERE box. (Some packages allow more than one image, select each pose and background until all the boxes are filled) Click continue to go back and add more products and images. Custom Retouching and Braces Removal Fees are listed as products - make sure to select these if your require them. Once all of your products are selected, click checkout. Enter your address and payment information. Visa/Mastercard and pre-paid cards accepted. Debit visa cards are not available at this time. Enter the code DEP in the discount area and click apply. This will apply your sitting deposit. If you would like specific cropping or black and white images, enter the pose number and details in the Notes section (NOTE: Unless cropping is requested, portraits will be printed exactly as they are seen on the screen) If you have questions regarding how to place your order, please call or images@iconexp.com BEFORE submitting your order. 9 Frequently Asked Questions Portrait Sample Card Online Graduation Portrait Viewing and Ordering What is my pose number and Online Gallery Code? Your pose number and Online Gallery Code can be found on your Portrait Sample Card printed off by the photographer at the time of your session. Go online using your proof code to view the rest of your images. Can I change my background when I order? Yes you can if you have chosen our Virtual Background Program at the time of your photo session. If you have requested the Traditional Background Program, then you will not be able to change the backgrounds. Be sure to let your photographer know if you would like a certain background at the time of your photo session. Can I mix poses on one sheet? No, each sheet may consist of only one pose. How long will it take for my order to be completed? You can expect your finished portraits within 4-6 weeks from the date that we receive your online order on our PCI compliant secure online ordering system. Some specialty items or custom work, such as the Gallery Wrapped Canvas, may need additional time to be completed. Can I pick up my portrait order? No, portraits are ordered, packaged and shipped directly from our lab free of charge. How long will my portraits be available to order? Your portraits will be available to purchase online for 1 year and then they are archived for 5 years from your graduation date. POSE NUMBER & ONLINE CODE You Portrait Poses will be named accordingly; LastName-FirstName The number at the end is unique to each image and is what we refer to as the Pose Number. REORDERING PORTRAITS You can re-order anytime! Portraits are kept online for 1 year after the graduation year and then archived. Call our office if you wish to order after the 1 year period. 8
