3 Deploy a modern digital management platform to drive reform Founded in 1993, BYBO Dental Group has nearly 200 dental clinics across China and more than 30 business divisions that cover 40 provincial capitals and first-tier cities. It currently has plans to expand into other major cities to establish nationwide dental service chains. After 20 years of hard work, BYBO Dental Group has become an industry leader in dental medical treatment and has a completely integrated supply chain, superior assets, and a diversified landscape. In June 2014, it received a strategic investment of 1 billion (approximately US$9.4 million) from Legend Holdings, which began its journey to become a leading dental group in China. However, with steady and rapid business growth, it faces tremendous challenges in unified business management. Traditional ways of management cannot adapt to the rapid market changes and business expansion opportunities. To break inherent and traditional models and address business constraints, BYBO Dental Group decided to adopt SAP S/4HANA and SAP for Healthcare solutions. By introducing SAP s advanced technology architecture and process standards, the group aimed to integrate data from HR, finance, materials management, and its technology architecture; deploy a 360 standard process-oriented management platform; and develop the ability to proactively respond to organizational expansion and reform. As an enterprise that attaches great importance to management innovation, BYBO Dental Group also wanted to take advantage of SAP s experience in healthcare and leverage industry solutions to create new management-focused ideas, simplify business processes, enhance capabilities for central management, and control and optimize the customer experience. 3 / 6

The implementation project team deployed SAP S/4HANA on the SAP HANA platform, a revolutionary in-memory computing platform. This next-generation suite redefines the way enterprise software creates value with immediate insights, provides a personalized user experience on any device, and connects with Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and business networks in real time. First, treatment processes and doctor-patient relationship management applications were built on SAP HANA to provide high-quality medical services. The solutions cover the group s business operations and include medical business, financials, customer relationship management, after-sales services, and more to enable unified processes and service standards. This supports high-speed geographic expansion and lays a solid foundation for international growth. Second, mobile solutions from SAP support mobile treatment apps. Patients can reserve appointments, register, inquire about treatment, give feedback, and make payments using mobile terminals. The platform also supports business intelligence solutions to give management visibility into operational data, rankings, and data across regions, divisions, and clinics through mobile devices enabling unified operational data analysis and decision management. 4 / 6

It created a central and transparent IT platform to enable comprehensive functional allocation for people, finance, and materials.
