1 Saturday thru Monday October Come to the library in costume the 29th thru the 31st for treats and small trinkets from any of the library service desks. Remember to be safe while trick or treating: -follow the rules of the road -only go to homes with a porch light on -never enter a stranger s home or car for a treat -never consume unwrapped food or open beverage items -parents should sort and check treats before you eat The library is excited to announce a new online resource: BrainHQ. Think of it like a workout for your mind. A recent AARP survey reports 9 in 10 people say brain health is important, but few know how to maintain it. BrainHQ is an easy way to make brain health a priority. BrainHQ is an online suite of 27 exercises with 840+ levels of training organized around the 6 core cognitive areas of Attention, Brain Speed, Memory, People Skills, Intelligence and Navigation. Exercises are delivered in short 2 minute or less segments, adapting speed and delivery to your performance. Think Faster. Focus Better. Remember More. Login using your Library Card number and PIN (typically the last 4-digits of your phone number). Contact a library staff person if you have trouble. Thursday, October 6, 3-6:30pm Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. An identification card or Donor ID is required to donate. Potential donors must be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be at least 17 years old. Potential donors may be 16 years old and donate, but must present a signed parental consent form. Open to the general public. Please see donor eligibility guidelines online. ofpl.info/events/blood Walk-ins welcome, or register online (use sponsor code 10383). Bring photo ID.
