1 Learn My Way is a free online Learning resource. The internet makes life simpler and more entertaining for many people every day. You can use the internet to keep in touch with friends and family, pay your bills, keep up with your favourite hobbies, learn another language, keep healthy, find a job... the list is endless. Learn my way is the website provided by Tinder Foundation to help you help people who are getting online for the first time, or are improving their skills. The website has more than 30 courses and is the perfect online learning platform for anyone new to using computers and the internet. Learn my way courses are combined into packages to help guide learners through the site in a way that s logical and easy to follow. Get ready - offers resources to help with some basic skills that you need to have before you can go on and learn more about computers, or anything else. These include things like numbers and Maths, reading and writing, and English for those who don t speak it as their first language. Everyone needs to use Maths and English in everyday life, and this Initial Assessment will help you find out what level your language and number skills are. There is no time limit for the assessment, but it should take around 30 minutes to finish it. When you have finished you ll be able to see what skills you might like to brush up on. Getting Started - This is the place to take your first steps online. You can find out all about the mouse, the keyboard, and the internet, and get ready to chat to friends with your own account. From here, the world is your oyster! Learn more - If you ve got the basics of computers and the internet under your belt, this is the place to start learning a little bit more. Whether you want to chat to family and friends on Facebook, share digital photographs or look after your health online, we ve got a short course to help you do it. Through this package they can find out more about looking and applying for work online, using online government services, shopping online and more. The site is full of lots of other great features too, and it allows learners to track their learning so they can check their progress. With recent additions including courses on using the internet to stay healthy and how to manage money online, the Learn my website is always growing - providing internet beginners with even more of what they need to get to enjoy an online life. Before we get started you will need to complete an enrolment form. These are available from your ULR, Project Worker or can be downloaded from the ASLEF website under the Education tab. Once completed they need to be given to your ULR, Project Worker or sent to ASLEF Education, 77 St John Street London EC1M 4NN

2 First you need to type in into your search engine, which will open this page Next click on Learn My Way

3 On this is the page you need to create an account

4 Complete the details in the boxes provided, a user name will automatically be generated. (Do not change the user name). Make sure that the centre code is always entered as , this will then bring up a drop down list displaying the centre name, ASLEF. When all boxes are completed click the Next button. (Remember to write down your user name and password).

5 Enter your address. If you don t have an address ask your ULR/Project Worker to set one up for you, or click on don t have an address where you will asked to use a contact phone number. You are asked if you are happy to be contacted by clicking in the box provided. This is up to the individual to choose these options. Click on Create my account.

6 When you have created your account the home page will appear.

7 From here you can choose what you want to learn. Clicking on the Get ready tab allows the learner to access resources to improve their English, reading and writing, Improve their maths and allows them to take Initial assesments.

8 Clicking on any of the tabs shown will open up the resource pages.

9 Here we have opened up Improve your maths tab. The learner then as the option of what element of maths they would like to improve in. It also has a link to the National Numeracy Challenge website. It also has the link to take them to the Initial assessment page.

10 The Initial assessment page looks like this.

11 In the Get started tab, you have the option to choose how you want to get started and the Online Basics package.

12 Whatever course is chosen it will bring you to a page similar to this where you need to click on the start tab within that page to start your course.

13 On the Welcome page you have the option of turning on the audio. After making your choice click on Start to begin your Learning Journey.

14 When you have completed a course, in the home page clicking on the Badges and Awards Icon gives you the opportunity to print out a certificate.

15 In the Learn More tab you will find courses to help you to learn more and progress with Online Plus courses. There are additional short courses to try.

16 In the What Next tab you will have the choice to continue learning and use the skills you have learnt through Learn My Way.
