Tickets may be purchased online through the FRHS website or from Mrs. Danielson in the front office. Just a reminder that tickets are non refundable and non transferable. Just search for "The Ridge". If you have any interest in going to a military academy, the North Texas US Service Academies Forum will be at Sam Houston High School on April 2 at 8:00 AM Noon. Representatives from West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, Merchant Marine Academy and the US Coast Guard Academy will all be present to answer your questions.

3 The KELLER ISD Education Foundation will be awarding twelve (12) $1,000 scholarships. Two Scholarships will be awarded per KISD high school and four will be awarded at large. The selection criteria will be based equally on four criteria: Community Service, Activities/Clubs/Leadership, Need, Academics. Scholarship application deadline is March 30. See Jill Brown in the Counseling office for more information. Yearbook sales end soon! For payment plans, cash, check or money order, bring payment made out to FRHS YB to room 302 or go to yearbookforever.com The Keller ISD Education Foundation will facilitate and award four (4) $1,000 scholarship awards on behalf of The Rotary Club of Keller. One Rotary scholarship will be awarded to a student at each of the four Keller ISD high schools. You can find the scholarship applications in the black file cabinet in counseling or with Mrs. White at the College Bound table during lunch. 4 ischool Advocate Students, would you like to be a presenter at Keller University this summer, teaching a session to Keller ISD teachers about your favorite technology for the classroom? Applications are now being accepted for ischool Advocates. If accepted, you will need to attend a three day training camp with other students during the first week of summer, which will "Empower students to model, inspire and facilitate change through technology." Go to the FRHS website for a link to the application or visit Mrs. Flynt in the library. From IEP to College, What do I do NOW? Please join the KISD Special Education Department on Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 PM for a discussion on "Disability Support and Adjusting to Higher Education." Information will be presented by representatives from: Tarrant County College NE Disability Support Office; Weatherford College Disability Support Office and DARS Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. 5 Extraordinary Panthers Artist of the Month Sabrina Hilt - VASE submission This month the Art Department began honoring the Artist of the Month. For the month of April two artists are being honored; Victoria Bush and Sabrina Hilt. Both artists submitted two pieces to the Regional Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) and received top scores. From there both Bush and Hilt had pieces selected to go on to the State VASE in San Antonio. You can view samples of the artists work in the display case in the 300 hallway. Victoria Bush - VASE submission Sabrina is a freshman Pre AP Art I student in Mrs. Isabel Link's class. Sabrina plans to take upper level art classes next year. chad powell special olympics This week The Ridge had the honor of hosting the Chad Powell Special Olympics. Chad Powell was the 1999 Valedictorian of Keller High School who died in the Texas A&M bonfire collapse. This event is held in his honor. Victoria is a sophomore Pre AP Draw II student in Mr. Christopher Brown's class. Victoria plans to take Pre AP Draw III and Pre AP Painting II next year. The annual meet brings together more than 300 athletes from Keller ISD and surrounding school districts to compete in track and field events, with the help of more than 450 student and adult volunteers.
