2 A Printing Revolution There is quiet revolution going on at the far end of a small industrial estate just off Rue a Chien at Garenne Park in the Vale. PRINTED is the new name for IPS Ultraprint and in case you haven t heard of us here s a short introduction: Two state-of-the-art HP Indigo digital offset printing presses are producing thousands of greetings and postcards every day (along side everyday print) thanks to a link with two of the world s most popular photography app companies. Every day, photos taken on smartphones all over the world are being beamed directly to the offices of PRINTED for delivery in the next day s post as high gloss postcards. Add these to the greetings cards produced for the likes of Hallmark you ll soon see why this little company is responsible for 8% of the post leaving the island every day. It all started with a company called Island Scan in The name was changed to Island Print Solutions to reflect their refocus onto printing and with the acquisition of promotional clothing printers Ultraprint, the foundations of PRINTED were cemented. PRINTED now offers a complete range of print services from short run digital offset print, gigantic UV safe banners and signs, printed clothing of all kinds and conventional printing for things like stationery and advertising. PRINTED also has a large format reel fed digital press, the Xeikon 5000 which is more like the traditional, cheaper digital print for those budget jobs.
