5 66ERS SEASON NOTES NBA S MINOR LEAGUE The Thunder utilized the 66ers as their AAA club last season to the fullest extent. During the season, they called-up guard Shaun Livingston, and also sent center Steven Hill, guard Kyle Weaver, and forward D.J. White to Tulsa to get playing time. MOSES SAYS I DO Just seven hours after getting married, guard Moses Ehambe scored seven straight points in the fourth quarter of a win over Utah on Nov. 28, to give the 66ers a lead that they would never relinquish. Ehambe finished with a season-high 17 points. SEVEN OF NINE In the 66ers victory over Sioux Falls on Jan. 2, Tulsa had seven of their nine players score in double-figures, led by Cecil Brown s 24 points. Larry Owens added 20 points, as the 66ers moved to 4-1 on the season when two or more players score 20+ points. HOT AT HOME Tulsa shot a season-high 60.2 percent (50-83) from the field and 56.3 percent (13-23) from three-point range en route to victory on Jan. 2. The 66ers also tied a season-high with 24 assists on 50 made field goals. SCORING LOAD The 66ers 126 points on Jan. 2 tied the fourth highest mark in franchise history, putting up season-highs of 65 first half points, and 61 second half points en route to the win. LAST FIVE ALIVE Over their last five games, the 66ers have shot the ball at a high rate, making 188 of 375 (50.1 percent), while scoring points per contest. The 66ers are 3-2 in that span. LIVING AT THE LINE In the Jan. 16 game versus Erie, there were a combined total of 54 fouls called during the game. The BayHawks shot 28- of-37 from the free throw line, while the 66ers shot 24-of-36. STAF THE SCORER Guard Mustafa Shakur scored a season-high 32 points, grabbed 8 boards, and dished out 6 assists in Tulsa s win in OT over Sioux Falls on 1/22. EQUALITY ON THE BOARDS In two games at Sioux Falls on 1/22 and 1/23 where the 66ers finished with a 1-1 record, both teams recorded 81 rebounds over the two games. It was the first and second time this season where Tulsa was equal to their opponent on the glass. MOSES CLIMBING G Moses Ehambe is climbing the franchise scoring record book, moving to fifth all-time after scoring 21 points in a 1/29 win over Iowa. With 802 points, he needs 68 more to pass Jeremy Kelly at #4 with 869. WHEN SHAKUR ASSISTS Through 24 games, G Mustafa Shakur has six or more assists in 15 contests, with the 66ers going 10-6 in those games. Shakur had a season-high with 14 dishes on 1/28 vs. Iowa. DOUBLE-DIGIT REBOUNDERS Through 24 games, Tulsa has finished with a double-digit rebounder in 15 contests. The 66ers are 8-7 in games with a double-digit rebounder and are 9-3 when as a team they outrebound their opponent. CAREER GAME FOR TAY F Latavious Williams had a career night on 1/28 vs. Iowa, setting new marks with his first double-double of the season, as he put up 18 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. He also tied another mark with three blocks. ADVANTAGE ON THE BOARDS Tulsa grabbed more rebounds in both games against Iowa on Jan. 28 and 29. It marked the fifth game in a row where the 66ers either had more rebounds or tied their opponent. DUAL DOUBLE-DOUBLE Against the Iowa Energy on Jan. 29, both Chris Richard and Mustafa Shakur finished with double-doubles. Richard finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Shakur had 18 points and 10 boards, to go along with his 8 assists. BIG MARGINS The 24-point win margin in a victory over Iowa on Jan. 29 was the largest of the season for the 66ers. FOURTH QUARTER BLAST Tulsa shot 13-for-20 (65 percent) in the fourth quarter of a Jan. 29 win over Iowa. The 66ers went on a 12-0 run en route to scoring 41 points in the period, the most in any quarter so far this season. FIRST FOR LO F Larry Owens got his first double-double of the season on Jan. 16 vs. Erie, when he finished with 10 points and a teamhigh 11 rebounds.
