Brian Wheeler, in his 18th season calling the play-by-play, and analyst Antonio Harvey, in his 11th season, will call the games, home and away. On television, KGW-TV and Comcast SportsNet will air a total of 84 Trail Blazers regular season and preseason games with veteran analyst Mike Rice, in his 11th full season on television after spending the previous 15 years on the radio, and Mike Barrett, in his 14th, calling the action. Between KGW, Comcast SportsNet, TNT and ESPN, all 82 regularseason games will be televised for the ninth year in a row, and the ninth time in franchise history. SEASON SERIES NOTES The Warriors won three of their four regular season contests against the Trail Blazers in to claim their third season series over Portland in the past four seasons (two straight). LAST MEETING: Stephen Curry scored a game-high 39 points, and Draymond Green (22 pts, 10 reb, 10 ast) recorded a triple-double in Golden State s victory over Portland at ORACLE Arena on April 3. Damian Lillard scored a team-high 38 points on 13-of-27 shooting (4-9 3-PT) in the contest. Portland defeated Golden State, , on February 19 behind a career-high 51 points (18-28 FG) from Damian Lillard. In that game, Lillard became the only NBA player to record 50+ points, 7+ assists and 6+ steals in a game since steals became a stat in He also tied franchise records with nine three-pointers and 32 total points in the second half. The Trail Blazers are one of only nine teams to defeat the Warriors this season. Their 32-point victory over Golden State on Feb. 19 represents the Warriors largest margin of defeat since a 39-point loss to Denver on April 9, Golden State s Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were the NBA s highest scoring duo this season (55.2 ppg), while Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum combined to average 45.9 ppg (third in NBA). The Warriors (1-Curry, 2-Thompson) and the Trail Blazers (4-Lillard, 9-McCollum) were the only two NBA teams to have multiple players ranked individually in the top-10 in three-point fi eld goals made. The Trail Blazers (19 3-PT FG) and the Warriors (18 3-PT FG) combined for 37 three-point fi eld goals at Golden State on March 11, setting a new NBA record for the most combined three-pointers in a single game (36, March 11, 2011). Damian Lillard averaged a team-high 36.5 points in four games against Golden State in That represents Lilard s highest scoring average against any Western Conference opponent this season (2nd most among NBA teams: TOR-38.5 ppg). Damian Lillard has averaged 45.5 points in two games against the Warriors this season at the Moda Center, compared to a 27.5 scoring average at Golden State. Lillard s 38-point performance at ORACLE Arena on April 3 marked his highest scoring total in seven career games at Golden State. Damian Lillard has scored 20 or more points in fi ve of his past six games against Golden State. Golden State s Stephen Curry averaged a team-high 32.5 points against the Trail Blazers this season. Curry has scored at least 20 points in each of his past 11 games against Portland (eight games of 30+ points in that 11-game stretch). PLAYOFF SERIES NOTES This will be the fi rst ever meeting between the Trail Blazers and Warriors in the NBA Playoffs. Golden State is one of two Western Conference teams that Portland has never matched up against in the postseason (New Orleans). Each of Portland s last three playoff series have come against team s it has never faced in the postseason (Memphis, Los Angeles). Since Portland became a franchise in 1970, Portland has made the playoffs 32 times, while Golden State has qualifi ed 16 times. The two teams have both reached the playoffs in the same year in nine of those seasons. The Trail Blazers are advancing to the Western Conference Semifi nals for the second time in the past three seasons (11th time overall). By earning the fi fth seed, the Trail Blazers have fi nished in the top-5 in the Western Conference in three consecutive seasons for the fi rst time since doing so in four straight seasons from to In NBA postseason history, teams that lost the regular-season series versus their playoff opponent are in those postseason series (entering the 2016 NBA Playoffs). Warriors head coach Steve Kerr played one season for the Trail Blazers during the campaign. Warriors guard Klay Thompson is the son of former Trail Blazer Mychal Thompson, who the Trail Blazers selected fi rst overall in the 1978 NBA Draft. Thompson played seven years in Portland ( ). LAST MEETING: J.J. Redick hit a game-winning two-point jump shot as time expired to lift the Clippers to a victory over the Trail Blazers at the Staples Center on March 24. Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford each scored 25 points apiece for Los Angeles, while Damian Lillard led Portland with 18 points and eight assists. Despite having more wins against the Clippers than any other team in franchise history (141), the Trail Blazers are 6-13 against LAC since the start of the season. Portland is 5-5 at the Moda Center and 1-8 at the Staples Center against the Clippers over the past fi ve seasons. Ed Davis has averaged 13.5 points (70.9% FG) and 11.3 rebounds (5.8 ORB) in four games against the Clippers this season. Davis, who hauled in a career-high 10 offensive rebounds on Nov. 20 vs. LAC, has also notched three double-doubles in four games against the Clippers in Mason Plumlee has scored in double fi gures in all four games against the Clippers this season (14.5 ppg on 57.6% FG). He recorded two doubledoubles, and averaged 9.5 boards per contest. Damian Lillard has averaged 18.0 points in four games against the Clippers this season (20+ pts twice). Lillard has led Portland in scoring in three of those four contests, with the lone exception coming on Nov. 30 when he exited the game in the third quarter (abdominal pain). Three different players have recorded double-doubles in the same game for Portland on three different occasions this season, two of which have come against the Clippers (11/20-Aminu, Davis, Plumlee; 11/30-Davis, McCollum, Plumlee). CJ McCollum (12 pts, 10 ast) recorded his fi rst career double-double against the Clippers on Nov. 30 at the Staples Center. CONNECTIONS Trail Blazers president of basketball operations Neil Olshey served as the Clippers vice president of basketball operations for two seasons from The Clippers reached the NBA Playoffs under Olshey s guidance in , marking the team s fi rst postseason appearance since Portland forward Al-Farouq Aminu was drafted eighth overall by the Clippers in the 2010 NBA Draft and averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in his lone season in Los Angeles. Golden State outscored Portland by 20 points in the first quarter (37-17), while Klay Thompson had more points in the first quarter (18) than the entire Portland team (17)... Damian Lillard scored 18 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter, marking the fifth time in his career that he has scored at least 30 points in a playoff game... Portland led by as many as 17 points in the second quarter, resembling Golden State s largest deficit in the 2016 NBA Playoffs (seven games)...
