Research & development as a basis for success Since 1953, when Franz Wagner expanded the retail business by a production facility, the company has grown into one of the most advanced chemical businesses in Europe. Today, more than 10 % of the staff is involved in the development of new solutions, improvement of existing products, analysis of competitors products and quality assurance. Alongside a basic portfolio, there are special systems available for the individual challenges of professional users. Be it the cleaning and care of top-quality special flooring or the removal of stubborn dirt on natural stone floors buzil s Application Technology staff provide suitable solutions and advice at all times thanks to their sound expert knowledge. All Application Technology employees have years of experience in cleaning technology, are specialists for training and seminars and have a passion for their work. From Memmingen to the whole world A strong market position in Germany is the basis for the development of a more international focus, with the company concentrating on the key markets in Europe. Subsidiaries in Greece, Poland and a branch in the United Arab Emirates are promoting regional business development in eastern and southern Europe as well as in the Arabian region. Some of our employees support customers and specialist wholesalers in France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium. And there are experienced buzil partners working as regional specialist wholesalers in a further 25 countries.

4 and the environment at buzil Quality and the environment at buzil Quality Environmental awareness concerns every single one of us Unfortunately, not everyone thinks about how their behaviour or a change in the way they work can help avoid negative impact on our environment. buzil regards environmental awareness and sustainability as ongoing measures in the development of a company and as fixed components in the buzil value system. buzil has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since August 1996 and has thus had a functioning quality management system in place for more than 15 years. Certification of the environment management system to DIN EN ISO was first achieved in April 2002 and has thus passed the ten year mark. In addition, buzil has been committed to providing voluntary additional services concerning environmental protection as part of the Umweltpakt Bayern (Bavarian Environmental Pact) and last renewed its commitment to sustainable economic activity in terms of environmental and climate protection in this context in The programme runs over 5 years and aims to continually improve environmental protection in production, focussing on tailor-made and efficient strategies based on initiative and business experience. Furthermore, buzil has been a DIAMOND member of the UAE Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD), the Arabian version of the World Business Council of Sustainable Development, since May 2011.

6 Certification/awards Certification/awards Quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 DIN EN ISO 9001 defines the minimum requirements made on a quality management system that an organisation has to achieve in order to provide products and services which fulfil both customer expectations and official requirements. At the same time, the management system should be subject to a continual improvement process. Certified environment management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2009 The international environment standard ISO defines globally recognised requirements on an environment management system and is part of a family of standards. This family of standards includes numerous further standards related to different fields of environment management including ecological balance sheets, environmental key figures or environmental assessment. Member of the Bavarian Environmental Pact This environmental pact pools initiatives and measures in order to promote direct responsibility and voluntary actions related to environmental protection in Bavarian businesses. Diamond Member of UAE-BCSD The UAE-BCSD (United Arabian Emirates Business Council for Sustainability Development) is the Arabian branch of the international organisation WBCSD. The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is an organisation managed by company directors and is solely concerned with the subject of business and sustainable development. The WBCSD sees itself as an intermediary who makes the concept of sustainable development known to companies and helps them to change the way they operate.

7 Eco-label for products of the buzil Planta edition The European eco-label is a cross-border environment quality label which is used throughout the common European market as a standardised marking for eco-friendly products and services. It was created by the European Commission in Austrian eco-label for the products of the buzil Planta edition The Austrian eco-label stands for a higher quality of life and environmental quality, clear and transparent information, high informative value, environmental policies as the direct responsibility of companies and organisations, cooperation on a high level with optimum service. Top rating by Hoppenstedt Credit Check In January 2012 the BUZIL-WERK Wagner GmbH was awarded the top rating certificate by the Hoppenstedt rating agency. This means that buzil is one of only 4.4 % of German industrial companies that have a credit standing index of 1.

8 The buzil Planta buzil Planta edition The edition Planta edition guarantees sustainable cleaning For more than twenty years, Planta has been the ecological edition from buzil. Thanks to long years of experience with eco-friendly cleaning agents, buzil can meet the most demanding of requirements in terms of cleaning effectiveness and environmental protection. The products of the Planta edition have undergone continual development and been tested to the most stringent of standards. As a complete system, the Planta edition includes cleaning solutions for all areas of application from surfaces, flooring, sanitary facilities through to glass. 10 concepts and values Our concepts and values Our Energy concept: Use of our own alternative energy supplies. Commissioning of a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 250 kw on Testing and implementation planning for replacing heat generation by connection to public long-distance heating systems. The freshwater used for production is drawn exclusively from the company s own well. Every year, around 16,000 m³ (2011) of freshwater are pumped from a depth of about 20 m. Raw materials concept: Continual examination of all raw materials used for ecological replacement by substitution. Continual examination of the cardboard boxes and packaging used to achieve an optimum balance between ecology, quality and safe transportation. Deliveries/suppliers: Optimisation of deliveries and reduction of part deliveries in order to save fuel and packaging. Ongoing supplier checks and evaluation with the aim of only using certified suppliers. Disposal/waste management: Cleanliness, tidiness and safety at the workplace. Handling and disposal of waste in line with the environment and with the aim of recycling as much as possible. Treatment and return of production water to the municipal water system.
