It started as a small heat treatment service provider and has grown up until today into a medium-sized group of companies with a global orientation. Growth means change and change means growth. Markus Belte (Chairman of the Board) Founded in 1998 as a heat treatment company, Belte AG with its headquarters in Westphalian Delbrück is today one of the strongest services providers for aluminium materials. The service portfolio includes, in addition to the development of innovative heat treatment and quenching technologies, the series production heat treatment of diverse aluminium parts, mechanical processing, innovative wheel technologies (e.g. advanced-flow-forming), and logistics. The headquarters in Delbrück is supplemented by production locations in Altheim and Volkenschwand as well as a dealership in Munich. Because of years-long research, the company has comprehensive know-how and competences at its disposal, particularly regarding the heat treatment of aluminium parts. The prerequisites for innovative, forward-looking solutions have been met with qualified employees and modern research and laboratory facilities. Up until today, the company has established itself as a competent development partner, also in the Formula 1 sector. 7 HEAT TREATMENT HEAT TREATMENT TREND-SETTING FOR INDUSTRIAL PRACTICES Aluminium counts as a very important material because of its positive characteristics. The advantages of aluminium compared to other materials lies above all especially in the low weight. Through heat treatment, mechanical and physical material characteristics can be achieved that broaden the applications of aluminium and thereby create a new market segment as a substitute material to steel. BELTE AG, with its high level of developmental competence, counts as one of the specialists in the sector of heat treatment of aluminium parts. Therefore, innovative heat treatment procedures in combination with corresponding quenching media (water, polymer, and HISAQ ) were developed. An optimal relationship between yield stress, ultimate strain, and tensile strength was thereby made possible. The result is parts that have little residual stress and are free of distortion. 12

8 MECHANICAL PROCESSING MECHANICAL PROCESSING PRECISION AND COMPLEXITY As a systems supplier, BELTE AG assumes all relevant process steps after the casting with qualified employees and state of the art equipment and machines. Mechanical processing of different aluminium parts is realised precisely, perfectly, and completely rationally. As an overall concept, this includes, for example, the cleaning and deburring of the parts before the heat treatment. After the heat treatment this includes truing, x-ray, and crack checks, the blasting, milling, turning, and surface processing, as well as the assembly of ready to install components. According to the requirements of the customer, the individual processes will be coordinated and linked together. For this, the logistical effort between the process steps is to be reduced in order to achieve significant cost savings. 14

9 ADVANCED-FLOW-FORMING FORGED STARS LIGHTNESS IN FOCUS INDIVIDUAL DESIGN FOR EXCLUSIVE DEMANDS Lightness on the basis of a unique pressure rolling procedure is the focus of the interest of engineers and designers for advanced-flowforming. The result is an extreme weight optimisation of the parts via thinner wall thickness and improved material characteristics. Flowforming parts are also marked by long-life and high resilience. The overall concept of BELTE AG makes the development of all relevant process steps after the casting (advanced-flow-forming, heat treatment, mechanical processing) possible. Technical innovation lives in harmony with the design. The forged stars, which are created in close consultation with our customers, are capable of very high performance levels, are heat treated, and design milled. A large number of design variations can be realised with modern processing facilities and forward looking procedures. Quality, performance, and safety demands can be fulfilled, just like demands for unusual stylistic vocabulary. The result is the combination of sporty driving with a significantly unique design

The foundation for a very high level of proximity to the customer was thereby created with a comprehensive and modern fleet. The service portfolio includes national and international transport, just in time deliveries, and the creation of individual logistics concepts. Velocity: one of the most important conditions for success in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Those who wish to separate themselves from their competitors have to be fast in sports and in the marketplace. Speed plays a central role for BELTE AG exactly for this reason: in motorsports with the HISAQ Competition Team or in competition with products and services.
