3 Letter of Introduction Cathy Kerr Director of Adult and Community Services Dear candidate, Thank you for your interest in a role in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames. This is an exciting and challenging time in the public sector and in health and social care. Here in Richmond, we are proud to be a high performing Council, delivering excellent services to our public. We are a national leader in personalised support, constantly evolving and looking at new ways to enable people to live as independently as possible and be more in control of their lives. The NHS is a key partner for us and we are bringing together commissioning and delivery of services to ensure local people experience joined up care and support. We aim to continue to deliver high quality health and social care whilst transforming our system to become more efficient. We therefore have a significant change programme in place to introduce new service models, integrate fully with our health partners and to develop new choices and options for local people. Richmond is a great place to work, set in a beautiful borough, but more importantly for me, a Council where you can be part of a strong and supportive team which is responding successfully to new challenges. We are looking for outstanding social care professionals to be part of our high quality, high performing teams. If you think you might be the person we are looking for, then we look forward to receiving your application. Cathy Kerr Director of Adult and Community Services Tel Fax
