21 Foundation A charitable initiative established by the Hunter family, the Sunwing Foundation reflects the Sunwing Travel Group s enduring commitment to the support and development of youth in the communities where it operates, in the form of project funding or the transport of humanitarian aid. The Sunwing Foundation is funded through the Sunwing Airlines spare change program where passengers donate their left over foreign currency and the Sunwing Travel Group matches all of the dollars raised. 100% of the funds raised support the Foundation s charitable projects; no administration fees are levied. In April 2015, the Foundation completed its first charitable endeavour with the construction of Spicy Hill Early Childhood Institution in Jamaica. This past September the new school opened its doors to welcome some 75 students to their new classrooms equipped with desks, teaching materials, books, computer and printer, toys and playground equipment, as well as improved water sanitation equipment and kitchen facilities where hot meals can be prepared.
