1 UAMS Office of Human Resources HR The Employee Services area answers first level phone calls for the Office of Human Resources. We also process employment verifications, administer the Catastrophic leave program, random drug screen process, new employee orientation, employee service awards, retiree social, HR Connects, tuition discount forms, and leave of absence. 2 Teletha Leonard, MA, PHR, SPHR-CP HR Director of Teletha Leonard holds a Master of Arts degree from Webster University in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor s degree from UALR in Business Administration. She also holds her Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR). Teletha has worked for Human Resources since August She is currently the HR Director of. She has served in this position since Her current responsibilities include managing the Employee Services Call Center and Internal Business Consultant. She also manages the New Employee Orientation process, Catastrophic Leave Program, Employee Service Awards Ceremony, Retiree Social, and HR Connects. Teletha conducts sexual harassment investigations and is a graduate of the UAMS Leadership Institute. She is a member of the Veterans Awareness Committee, Women s Day Committee and a trainer at HR Toolkit for new UAMS Managers. Teletha previously served as the Retirement Specialist at UAMS. Valerie Camper HR Senior Consultant-Employee Services vcamper@uams.edu Valerie Camper joined the Employee Services team as a SR HR Consultant in April She serves as an Insurance and Retirement presenter for New Employee Orientation, administers the random drug screen process, administers the catastrophic leave program, employee benefit changes, and special projects such as Employee Service Awards and the Retiree Social.

3 Kerri Doles HR SR Kerri Doles joined the Office of Human Resources in February 2015 as a SR HR Consultant. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa. Kerri assists in the onboarding process of new employees to UAMS, serves as an insurance and retirement presenter for New Employee Orientation and works on special projects such as Employee Service Awards and the Retiree Social. Susan Garoutte Employee Services Specialist slgaroutte@uams.edu Susan Garoutte, SPHR, SHRM-SCP joined the Employee Services team as a SR HR Consultant in January She serves as an Insurance and Retirement presenter for New Employee Orientation, administers the leave of absence program, assists employees with benefit changes, and assists with special projects such as Employee Service Awards and the Retiree Social. Currently, she serves in the role of Employee Services Specialist. Gloria Johnson Human Resource Analyst johnsongloria@uams.edu Gloria Johnson has been in the Office of Human Resources since Gloria is a part of a diverse and multi-task group called Employee Services; which serves the entire UAMS campus and prospective employees in all phases of Human Resources, such as, orientation, benefits, employment verifications and problem solving.

4 Steven King HR Senior Consultant Employee Services Steven joined UAMS in December of 2001; he joined the Employee Services area in May He serves as an Insurance and Retirement presenter for New Employee Orientation, administers the random drug screen process, assists with employee benefit changes, and special projects such as Employee Service Awards and the Retiree Social. Before HR he was in the EEG lab where he ran neurological test for seizures. Margaret Portlock Human Resources Analyst Employee Services & Immigration Margaret began her career as a Document Examiner at FGP. She later transferred to Human Resources where she is currently a Consultant. Margaret assists with employment verifications. She has worked in the Insurance Department, Payroll and Records, Recruiting and Immigration. Margaret assists with Immigration two days per week.

5 Tracy Shepard HR SR Consultant Employee Services Tracy Shepard, SR Human Resources Consultant with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I ve been a part of UAMS Team since November My previous position was HR Generalist for the College of Medicine and Faculty Group Practice.
