Duties which may be assigned to a faculty member are set forth in the Quincy Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. Other responsibilities include student advising, curriculum development, assignment to the College committees and other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean. This position may require teaching at Newport and Saville (Quincy Campus) or Cordage Park (Plymouth Campus). If

2 teaching on multiple campuses is required, scheduled assignments will be made to make sure that the Instructor teaches on one campus per day. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Assume a leadership role in delineating and articulating Accounting content in assigned courses. Teach courses in Accounting and/or other Business related courses, and as otherwise directed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and/or the Dean of the Business and Public Service Program. Collaborate with other appropriate faculty in the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of Accounting and Business curricula. Collaborate with other appropriate faculty to facilitate and integrate correlated approach to course offerings. Participate with others in the annual review or revision of course outlines, bibliographies, study guides, media, text book selection, and other related course materials. Demonstrate motivation, self-direction, and perseverance towards achieving philosophy and mission of the Business and Public Service Program. Engage in the academic life of the college by serving on college committees. Assume other related duties as assigned Educational Criteria: Master s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university required. PhD preferred. Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years college teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting; Experience working in the accounting profession; Understanding of and commitment to the community college mission; Experience instructing students from a diverse background; Experience using technology in the classroom and/or for distance learning, and traditional/nontraditional methods of instruction; Experience using multiple measures to assess student learning. Business Office/Human Resources Manager of Payroll Services Initial Posting 12/30/2011 Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Manager of Payroll Services is primarily responsible for all activities related to payroll processing, and accurate and timely recording and maintenance of all employee payroll-related data and records. The Manager of Payroll Services maintains a

3 high level of confidentiality, processes all front-end aspects of the payroll operation, ensures a high level of data and system integrity, and delivers top quality customer service to the college community. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Confirm accuracy of payroll ledger accounts and correct if appropriate; Serve as quality control point and resolve any payroll deduction/enrollment discrepancies with MUNIS data-entry by H/R personnel; Consult with managers to resolve issues related to documentation and time sheets, etc.; Enter, maintain and report on accrual earnings and usage into MUNIS; Configure payroll, including properly processing payroll with complex cycles; choosing/eliminating specific groups for inclusion/exclusion into each week s payroll as appropriate based upon payroll schedules; Initiate payroll trial runs and reconcile differences relative to pay authorization sheets and time sheets; Run final payroll and submit confirmation to appropriate City of Quincy departments; Complete routine payroll activities on a timely basis; Review and reconcile payroll related data and reporting; Audit and produce payroll-related documents and reports; Assist with preparation of payroll variance reports; Input time sheet data into MUNIS and consult with staff and management to reconcile differences; Distribute pay checks/statements in a timely manner following proper distribution procedures as outlined; Review personnel action/authorization forms, including time sheets, for accuracy and signatures; Initiate problem resolution and collaborate with department staff/management as necessary to resolve; Effectively present solutions to improve payroll processing and increase automation of various payroll processes; Develop and disseminate timely and accurate communication to employees regarding payroll schedules, time sheet deadlines, payroll processes, etc.; Develop and update a user-friendly payroll operations manual; Maintain accurate and compliant records and documentation; provide solutions and improvements to processes and documents to increase efficiency and accuracy; Complete special projects as deemed appropriate; Execute monthly MTRS report and audit data in MTRS automated systems; Run and distribute routine reports in a timely manner; Prepare confidential data and salary reports for collective bargaining as needed; Assist with preparation of annual budget; Maintain communications and positive relationships with employees, managers and outside vendors/companies; Assume other related duties as assigned. Educational Criteria: Associates degree required, Bachelor s degree preferred. Qualifications: Minimum 4 to 5 years successful hands-on payroll processing experience, 2 or more of which must be in a senior payroll administrator role. Holds weekly meetings and organize the student newspaper staff. Assist students on matters of content, layout and the production of the paper.
