4 ELM for Exchange verson 5.5 Exchange Server Mgraton Introducton Before mgratng from Mcrosoft Exchange Server 00 to Mcrosoft Exchange Server 00, you certan pre-nstallaton tasks must be performed, so that ELM for Exchange verson 5.5/6.0 can run n the new Exchange server envronment. Ths manual descrbes these pre-nstallaton tasks and how to complete them. The tasks nclude: Completng pre-nstallaton tasks for Exchange Server 00 Synchronzng Exchange Server 00 wth ELM Exchange Edton Replcatng the Organzatonal forms lbrary Assgnng the superuser owner rghts to the Organzatonal Forms lbrary Movng your users from Exchange 00 to Exchange 00. Synchronzng users wth ELM Exchange. These tasks are descrbed n detal n the followng sectons. Pre-nstallaton Tasks for Exchange 00 Ths chapter descrbes these pre-nstallaton tasks and how to complete them. Begn by addng the superuser to the Vew-Only Organzaton Management role; then assgn permssons for all malboxes usng MS Exchange Server. To complete the pre-nstallaton tasks: Run the Exchange Management Shell from Start > Programs > Mcrosoft Exchange Server 00 > Exchange Management Shell. To add the superuser (srv_exchange) to the Vew-Only Organzaton Management role, run the followng cmdlet n the shell : Add-RoleGroupMember "Vew-Only Organzaton Management" -Member "srv_exchange". Then run the followng cmdlet to assgn permssons for all malboxes to the srv_exchange : Get-MalboxDatabase Add-ADPermsson -User "srv_exchange" -AccessRghts ExtendedRght ExtendedRghts Receve-As, ms-exch-store-admn

5 Synchronzaton of Exchange Server 00 wth ELM Exchange Edton It may take some tme untl the superuser rghts are assgned. Ths s smply a replcaton ssue. Synchronzaton of Exchange Server 00 wth ELM Exchange Edton When the pre-nstallaton tasks are completed, synchronze Exchange Server 00 wth ELM Exchange: On your ELM Exchange server, run ELM Exchange Enterprse Manager (Start > Programs > SAPERION > SAPERION ELM > Enterprse Manager). Open Addressbook Manager from Tools > Addressbook Manager.. On the Servers tab, rght-clck nsde the lst vew, and from the context menu select Tasks > Add Server.. The "Add New Exchange Server" wzard opens. In the Select Exchange Server type wndow, select Exchange 00 and clck [Next]. 5. Your doman confguraton s automatcally detected by the wzard. Clck [Next]. 6. A lst of your Exchange Servers 00 appears. Servers hghlghted n blue are already synchronzed wth ELM. To synchronze your Exchange Server 00, clck ts check box and clck [Next]. 7. The superuser account must be granted rghts on that Exchange Server. If pre-nstallaton tasks were completed successfully, ths s already done. In the Summary dalog, clck [Next], and when the process fnshes, clck [Close]. Replcaton of Organzatonal forms lbrary On Exchange 00, ELM Forms are publshed n the Organzatonal forms lbrary, whch s a publc system folder. There s no need to create a new Organzatonal forms lbrary on Exchange 00, as long as the Organzatonal forms lbrary can be replcated. To set up a Organzatonal forms lbrary replcaton: On your Exchange Server 00, run System Manager by clckng Start > Programs > Mcrosoft Exchange > System Manager. In the Exchange System Manager wndow, expand the tree structure to: Admnstratve Groups > Frst Admnstratve Group > Folders > Publc Folders. To dsplay system folders, rght-clck Publc Folders, and n the context menu select Vew System Folders.

6 5. Tps & Trcks. Then expand Publc Folder > EFORMS REGISTRY > Organzatonal forms. Rght-clck the Organzatonal forms and open ts Propertes wndow. 5. Clck the Replcaton tab and add Exchange 00 to the replcaton lst. 5 Assgnng Owner Rghts As noted earler, the superuser must have admnstratve and owner rghts to the Organzatonal Forms lbrary. To assgn the rghts to the superuser: Run the Exchange Management Shell from Start > Programs > Mcrosoft Exchange Server 00 > Exchange Management Shell. Now enter the followng command to set access rghts for super-user (srv_exchange): Add-PublcFolderClentPermsson -Identty "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\EFORMS REGISTRY\FormsLbrary" -User "srv_exchange" -AccessRghts "owner" Identty: the path to the Organzatonal Forms lbrary User: the name of the superuser who wll be assgned rghts AccessRghts: usually set to "owner" If you are not sure of the name of the Organzatonal forms lbrary, the followng command can be used. It grants permssons for the chld objects under EFORMS REGISTRY: Get-PublcFolder -Identty "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\EFORMS REGISTRY" -GetChldren Add-publcfolderclentpermsson -User srv_exchange -AccessRghts Owner 5. Tps & Trcks If you run nto any ssues whle assgnng rghts to the Organzatonal Forms Lbrary, download Mcrosoft ExFolders from the followng locaton: Ths tool facltates the process of assgnng rghts to dfferent Exchange Server folders. It can be used for MS Exchange Server 00. Then send an ELM form to all users you plan to archve: On the clent machne (wthout Addn nstalled), open Outlook wth the superuser account. On the menu bar, clck Tools > Forms > Choose Form.

7 6 Movng Users In the Choose Form wndow, select the Organzatonal forms lbrary n the "Look In" downdrop lst.. Select the fourth form. Keep the SHIFT key pressed and clck [Open].. The fle opens and looks lke a normal emal. Send ths emal to all the malboxes you plan to archve. 6 Movng Users Movng users from Exchange Server 00 to Exchange Server 00 s an Exchange admnstraton task and thus s not covered n ths manual. If you have any questons about movng users, please consult the Mcrosoft knowledge base. Even after the malbox has been mgrated, shortcuts contnue to be avalable and the user can stll retreve archved emals. 7 Synchronze Users wth ELM Exchange Now your users are moved to Exchange 00. They may appear deleted n SAPERION ELM Exchange Enterprse Manager, but they are not actually deleted; ELM Exchange just cannot read the data yet. To update ELM Exchange, you have to synchronze the users usng Addressbook Manager. When users have been moved to Exchange 00 but the ELM Exchange synchronzaton has not run yet, users can stll read ther archved emals. However, n Enterprse Manager only archved data are accessble and Addn s dsconnected. To synchronze users wth ELM Exchange: On your ELM Exchange server, run ELM Exchange Enterprse Manager (Start > Programs > SAPERION > SAPERION ELM > Enterprse Manager). Open Addressbook Manager from Tools > Addressbook Manager.. Clck Synchronzaton on the menu bar and choose Synchronze addressbook from the down-drop lst. The Addressbook synchronzaton settngs dalog appears.. Check the followng check boxes to run the complete synchronzaton: Allow malbox update Force malbox refresh Change RDN Allow malbox mgraton Allow group update. Then clck the [Start] button. You wll get a summary of the synchronzaton. Fnally clck [Close].
