2 Introduction & Programme Dear Colleagues, the ISURA Group is an international group of clinicians who have been teaching and organizing workshops in ultrasound guided regional techniques worldwide for the past seven years. In April 2007, we pioneered an international workshop using specially prepared (flexible) cadavers acting as a three dimensional training model. Due to the overwhelming success of this model in teaching RA in the past we will be repeating this course in 2010, this time including Pain Applications! In 2004 colleagues from Innsbruck, Heidelberg and Bochum combined in the development of a practical cadaveric model for ultrasound guided needling techniques. LikeModerator: in the living, Moriggl, single Grau shot and catheter techniques can be performed and the position of the needle and spread of local anaesthetic observed in real time. This model is of particular value for both research purposes and practical training. In attending this course you will have a unique opportunity to experience this exciting way of learning. Recommendation: applicable to all levels of training, but a refreshment of the relevant anatomy is advisable.
