4 CASE STUDIES Travel, Leisure & Recreational Real Estate. Destination Branding for Real Estate Investment. S&R coordinated a multi-year effort to draw real estate investment (from developers as well as consumers) to a beach destination. Our client was a co-op made up of various stakeholders including the Mexico Tourism Board, a state government, and a developers association. The targeted $1.4 million USD campaign focused on Canadian provinces from B.C to Ontario; as well as the American west coast states, Nevada, Ohio, Colorado and Texas. After the initial cycle of brand awareness, the percentage of registered leads generated by the marketing initiatives grew by 300%, participation in information and promotional events across Canada grew by 38 %. By the campaign s third year, the number of Canadian travelers to the destination mainly Baby Boomersgrew by 30%. Evaluation of a marketing strategy s strengths and weaknesses, providing a plan of action to improve ROI. At the end of a 6 month events & promotions campaign for a client with recreational developments in Puerto Vallarta and, Mazatlan, we analyzed the results of our client s strategy to determine strengths and weaknesses. S&R developed a series of recommendations to increase ROI by focusing time, effort and investment on the more successful andcost-beneficial elements of the campaign. The modified campaign concluded with a significant increase in prospects and sales. S&R provides sales and cultural sensitivity traning to company targeting English speaking markets. Furthermore, at a national level the destination rose from 11th place to 4th place among tourist destinations in terms of real estate investment. Residential real estate sales to target market investors totaled over $300 million USD over the three years of campaign implementation. Marketing efforts included multimedia advertising, public relations, and network building. Our team coordinated a sales and cultural sensitivity workshop for an experienced developer looking to reach American and Canadian clients for the first time. We met with the development s sales team and briefed them on the target market s profile, preferences, and expectations. We advised on the kind of information the target market required in order to make a purchasing decision, the appropriate approach and follow-up tactics.
5 03. Gap analysis. In 2009 one of our client s marketing campaign generated a record number of leads. Yet there was a gap between the number of leads generated and the final connection and follow-up by the sales team. S&R analyzed the area of opportunity, identified weaknesses and proposed process modifications to improve the flow of leads and information to key departments, as well as follow-up strategies to make the most of a successful marketing strategy. Sports Sponsorship Campaign. S&R coordinated a 6 month sponsorship campaign to reach a niche market for a resort client. The client s infrastructure encompasses 4 hotels, a marina, a golf and tennis country Club, as well as a gated residential community. The campaign secured leads who would receive in-bound marketing solutions over the following 12 months. Within the first 4 months following the conclusion of the campaign, our client registered a lead conversion rate of 11%, concluding the 12 month cycle with a lead conversion rate of over 33%.
6 03. International Trade and Investment. Public company seeks investors. A public company that owns and operates resorts acquired several hectares of prime land on the Mayan Riviera. S&R was hired to assist the company in finding individuals and firms to invest in and develop hotels and residential communities around their marina and hotel infrastructure. S&R introduced the client to potential investors and promoted increased traffic to the existing infrastructure to promote the long-term strength of the brand. Promoting trade. A business organization hired our team to develop a communication strategy directed to potential trade partners for their members. S&R prepared the speech and presentation for the client s event in New York. The goal was to present the business opportunities and advantages in an effective manner. Shortly thereafter, the client received inquiries from buyers looking to be connected to the members of the organization who could fulfill their demand for products. Canadian company pursues a new market. S&R provides step-by-step guidance and advice to help our Canadian client start a tourism- related company in Cancun, Mexico. Steps involve starting a corporation, immigration documents and advice on importing business equipment. IT Business Development. S&R provides business development and inside sales support to various IT companies providing services, software, and hardware to the resource industry across the globe. Our services include data-mining and market research to determine ideal target markets. We then design a communications strategy to reach the target market. The strategy is implemented by our inside sales support team, which in turn generates leads and schedules meetings with prospective clients. S&R provides step-by-step guidance and advice to help our Canadian client start a tourism- related company.
