2 FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION & IT Atlific Hotels offers best-in business financial reporting from processing financial data through user-friendly systems provided at the hotel level, to issuing monthly financial statements and related reports which enable local hotel management to make timely operational decisions. In an environment with continuously evolving government requirements, owners requests and legal and audit requests, Atlific Hotels prides itself on the ability to rapidly adapt to respond to ever changing needs. An Internal Audit department ensures that proper controls are maintained locally through regular visits to each hotel. The integrated Information Technology department supports each business daily through the development and support of online tools, customized financial reports, support and implementation expertise of new hotel systems, as well as general IT consulting and troubleshooting. SALES & MARKETING From its offices in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, Atlific Hotels leads the development of annual marketing plans, incorporating leading revenue management and E-Commerce strategies to maximize revenue. SALES Atlific Hotels has dedicated sales professionals to build the top line through their proven ability to close business and to develop, implement and track effective sales and marketing strategies in the key sectors of Tour and Travel, Leisure, E-Commerce, Business Travel, Government, Corporate Group and Associations. Working directly with sales and marketing associates at the hotels, National Sales Directors mentor, coach, oversee and measure the sales performance function and assist in strategic planning to ensure marketplace success. MARKETING Atlific s national marketing team identifies strategies to increase revenue and ensure effective communications using both traditional and newly emerging media and public relations. Centralized marketing activities bring the hotels both consistency and experience to ensure a compelling message and effective positioning in a competitive marketplace. Preferred pricing agreements with media placement, advertising agency, public relations firm and other suppliers ensure that marketing budgets are maximized. Revenue Management Atlific s yield management approach applies innovative tools and tactics tailored to each hotel and market in order to maximize potential revenues and ensure the highest profitability levels delivered back to owners. Regional Revenue Managers focus on training each hotel s revenue leaders. 3 E-commerce and Website Design Atlific Hotels recognizes the need for cutting-edge online marketing strategies and has an inhouse team of website designers and search engine specialists to ensure that each hotel s custom built website is a driving force for online bookings and is central to all marketing initiatives. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT The construction management team assists with real estate selection for new hotel development and will provide project management, architectural, interior design, and purchasing support to ensure a successful hotel design and development. With recent experience in the development of luxury beachfront resorts, limited service brands, large city centre historical conversions, boutique hotels and a conference centre, Atlific Hotels has the diverse knowledge and buying power needed to manage hotel architecture and interior design process. FOOD & BEVERAGE With experience managing food and beverage operations across Canada, Atlific Hotels focuses on providing high-quality, regionally inspired menus with guests tastes in mind. A national food & beverage purchasing program provides the economic and logistical advantages of aligning properties with national vendors, generating purchase strength through consolidation of all food and beverage supply. On-site personnel benefit from continued support and strategic guidance along with access to on-line program resources, including menu and recipe development, as well revenue and labour management. Quality service and standards are supported through regular audits, mystery shop programs and training. Marketing tools are provided to support each outlet. 4 MANAGEMENT TEAM Robert Chartrand, C.A., Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer joined Atlific Hotels as Assistant Controller in 1983 and has been instrumental in leading the company to the forefront of cost controls and standards in the Canadian hospitality industry. In 1995 Chartrand, a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, was appointed Executive Vice-President responsible for financial planning and budgeting as well as finding new business opportunities. Chartrand s passion for Atlific Hotels and his team across Canada is evident in everything he does. Philippe Gadbois, Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing brings to Atlific Hotels over 35 years of varied experience in the industry including senior positions at Realstar Hospitality Corp. and the ownership of a fully integrated hotel consulting firm. He spent 25 years with Hilton International achieving the responsibility of President and CEO of Hilton Canada Inc. Gadbois, a graduate of Université de Montréal, was a Vice Chair of the Hotel Association of Canada and the founding Chairman of the Business Council for Tourism Issues. In addition to leading the innovative sales and marketing team at Atlific Hotels, Gadbois identifies new developments and business opportunities for Atlific Hotels with Canadian hotel investors. Robert Leoppky, Vice-President, Western Canada is a graduate of the University of Southern Colorado and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Since joining Atlific Hotels in 1972, Leoppky has received the Award of Excellence and the Holiday Inn Quality Excellence Award on six occasions as well as Food & Beverage Director of the Year for the Holiday Inn system. He has served in various management capacities with Atlific Hotels. Since his appointment as Vice-President, Leoppky has been instrumental in the development of the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour, recently named Marriott Hotel of the Year for North America, the opening of the company s first conference centre in Nanaimo, and the appointment of Atlific Hotels as management company for Temple Real Estate Investment Trust. Raymond St-Pierre, Vice-President, Eastern Canada is a graduate in Hotel Management from the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec in Montréal. St-Pierre successfully opened the Montréal Downtown Holiday Inn, and later as General Manager, guided the Montréal Château Champlain through the rebranding to Marriott. St-Pierre was named Hotelier of the Year by the Québec Hotel Association and was elected President of the Montréal Hotel Association in 1998, the same year he was appointed Vice-President, Eastern Canada for Atlific Hotels.
