ISFOC is studying the procedure for storing the data into its database T4.3 Installation and connection to ISOFOTON % ONE utility gride on site Installation has been completed: during this period, the electrical and mechanical construction has been completed, the monitoring system has been installed and launched and the connection to the ONE utility was done on 26 th October T4.4 Set-up, installation and checking out of all data recording equipment ONE % Periodic checkout carried during the first three months Currently daily monitoring of the station and data acquisition system is done T4.5 Training courses for ONE personnel in charge of control and system maintenance ISOFOTON % The training course for University of Al Akhawayn staff has been done between and That is, the personnel in charge of control and system maintenance. T5.2 System Maintenance and data acquisition of the grid connected ONE % 3
4 station: Reporting incidences, cleaning and repair The system did experience some problems after the installation. Tracker number two was out of alignment. The problem was corrected after visit of ISOFOTON technician to the installation site. T5.3 Generation of samples for ONE % soiling, abrasion, discoloration of components, and its periodical analysis as its relationship with output power and characteristics Half of the samples were sent to the UPM. The UPM has measured the transmitance. The results will be included in the Deliverable D Status of degraded samples T5.4 Dissemination of results. Data ONE % transfer to ISFOC and the other partners An FTP connection was made to allow for the sharing of the data. T6.1 Record of the seven plants at ISFOC % ISFOC Records of the plants at ISFOC are performed. Reports corresponding to the 2010 production to be generated T6.2 Records of the grid connected ISFOC % plant at ONE The System is prepared to start recording data during 2011 and 2012 T6.3 Thernal characterization of modules based on continuous array and weather measurement ISFOC % ISFOC have installed the necessary equipment to perform the thermal characterization of modules. Indoor facilities are ready since may 2010 and outdoor facilities will be ready in March 2011 T7.2 Verification of draft standars on the real 9 PVC stations ISFOC % ISFOC is using the draft standards during the acceptance of the plants installed at ISFOC facilities and the prototypes in Morocco and Egypt. T7.3 Creation of a solar Spectrum ISFOC % recording network The solar Spectrum recording network has been installed T8.3 Module prototype prequalification Concentrix % Adaption of the module spectral tuning has been done and is now being monitored on the R&D tracker. The HAST climate chamber test showed a potential weakness of the silicone adhesion. A surface activation of the substrate is necessary. An UV exposure test shows no degradation of silicone secondary optics T8.4 Manufacturing start up Concentrix % A lens for reduced temperature effects has been designed and fabricated. The processes have been developed for a silicone secondary directly formed on the substrate. Tooling for Start-Up is under way. T9.4 Automated manufacturing set-up. Isofotón % Relation of mounting rate with receiver accuracy location and loses. Indoor test of modules : Optimization of the solar cell soldering process to achieve less than 1% voids percentage 4
5 per cell (voids are holes in the link between the cell and the substrate). Adaptation of the solar cell measuring and classification process to the new cell size and current range, including laser printed information onto the receivers. Semi-automation of the module sealing process with alignment tools for the receivers and optics elements in order to optimize the IV curve. Redesign of the storing system to adapt and improve the production line to the new module and to optimize the UPH (units per hour) of our fabrication line. T10.4 Pre-industrial product definition UPM % after component interactive qualification Once the preliminary materials selection wad done, an preindustrial module was designed and it has been manufactured. T10.5 Design of first module optics prototype (3x3 or 4x4 elements) in collaboration with a suitable plastic and glass moulñding expert companies UPM %. - A 24 cells module prototype with improved optical efficiency with silver mirrors has been constructed T12.5 Recording of measurements and ISFOC % generation data of modules located in several sites. Test equipment set up and data transmission and storage The Concentrix modules are installed in several sites: Ifrane (Morocco), Puertollano and Madrid (Spain) and Freigurg (Germany). The results will be analyzed in the next months 5
