2 Introduction SWISS decided to offer as of 2 nd July 2013 its customers a new Flex Structure that includes a one-way and return option. The fare includes the possibility of rebooking, refund and includes one piece (1PC) of checked luggage. For those customers who do not need neither flexibility nor a checked luggage, SWISS offers an additional fare structure for individuals only (no group sales), the Geneva Economy Light fares. Those fares are not re-bookable or refundable, yet an upgrade to the Geneva Economy Flex fares will be available. With this option, SWISS has tickets on offer that start at a very affordable level. Be aware the Geneva Economy Light fares are only valid on LX operated flights and only on nonstop flights from and to Geneva. SWISS offers two different products to its customers one and one LIGHT product. Combinations are possible, but keep in mind that in a combined return ticket which includes one LIGHT segment the more restrictive rules will apply at any time. All details will be explicitly explained in the following document. Important note: For routes where the new GVA Fare Structure is not introduced, the current SWISS fare structure in Europe remains in place. 3 3 1 Application and Carriers The new "GVA Fare Structure" is applicable for O&D's where SWISS offers direct flights from GVA to European destinations and vice versa. The "GVA Economy Light" fare will be applicable on direct LX operated flights only. The "" fare will be applicable on direct LX operated flights and flights via ZRH. For all the other O&D s where LX has no direct services, our current SWISS fare structure will still be applicable. Exceptions (where the new fare structures are NOT applicable) Route exceptions due to legal or commercial reasons = GVA-BCN and v.v.; GVA-DME and v.v.; GVA-LED and v.v. Codeshare routes (LX Flight range LX ) Leisure flights (WK operated) (LX Flight range Leisure ) 2 New GVA Fare Structure 2.1. Fare Product SWISS will implement one new "GVA Fare Structure" with different fare products and reduced fare levels. Both Economy Flex and Light fares are available in all economy RBD s. The conditions are the same in all RBD s for each fare product Fare This fare product is a flexible fare with SWISS Standard free baggage allowance of 1PC à 23kg. Changes within the "" fare structure in the same RBD are free of charge. Whenever this fare is issued in combination with the "GVA Economy Light" fare the entire ticket (Pricing unit) must be recalculated and the GVA Economy Light fare segment must be upgraded to the "" fare. This rule applies also for sectors flown GVA Economy Light Fare This fare product is an non-flexible fare and has no free baggage allowance included. Changes within the Economy GVA Light fare structure are not possible. Anytime this fare can be upgraded to the "" fare structure by reissuing the entire ticket (Pricing unit). Whenever this fare is issued solely or in combination with any SWISS Fare, the entire ticket (Pricing Unit) must be recalculated and upgraded to the fare. This rule applies also for sectors flown. The GVA Economy Light fare is applicable for individuals only, no group sales possible GVA Business The new Business class fares (all RBDs) are fully flexible fares and include the SWISS standard free baggage allowance of 2PC à 32kg Fare Display Due to different fare products in the same RBD (one GVA Economy Light fare and one fare for all RBDs in economy class) the fare display will always show the fare only! In order to display the SWISS GVA Economy Light fares, a special entry must be made in your GDS: Amadeus: 1A Galileo: 1G Sabre: 1S Worldspan: 1P FQDGVAMAD/ALX/R,U FD4JANZRHLON PRI GVALIGHT/LX FQGVAMAD014JAN AC*GVALIGHT-LX PV 4FZRHLONSR-LX/@@GVALIGHT
Fare Basis Codes There are different fare basis codes in the new GVA Fare Structure Fare Basis Code GVA Economy Light HNNV6OSR = One way HNNV6SR = Return fare H = Reservation booking designator NN = Non-refundable, non-changeable V = Stands for the GVA fare structure (filing purpose only) 6 = Stands for NO free bag (filing purpose only) O=one way SR = Country code for Switzerland Fare Basis Code or GVA Business For the return fares the existing and already known fare basis logic from SWISS fare structure in Europe will be used. HSWISS HSWISSOCZ H O CZ = Return fare = One fare = Reservation booking designator = One way = Country code for Czech Republic Exception for fares ex. Switzerland - no country code for one way & return Key changes compared to existing SWISS Fare Structure in Europe Different fare products for same RBD: Compared to our current existing SWISS fare structure in Europe the new "GVA Fare Structure" has different fare products with different conditions. We will offer two fully flexible fares the "" and Business Class Fare, where passenger has full flexibility including free baggage allowance. The "GVA Economy Light" on the contrary has no flexibility and no free baggage allowance included. The GVA Economy Light fare is not applicable for group sales until further notice. All fare products are new within our current SWISS fare structures with new sales, reissue and rebooking logic. New rebooking & reissue logic: Whenever a Fare or SWISS Fare is issued in combination with a GVA Economy Light Fare, the entire ticket (Pricing Unit) must be at any time recalculated and the GVA Economy Light fare segment upgraded to the fare, including already flown sectors and sectors not concerned from the change. In general no rebooking fee applies. Only fare differences (within Flex structure) or upgrades (from Light to Flex structure) are applicable. If a customer is No-show on a booked flight, changes are not permitted thereafter, tickets are not refundable and the coupon cannot be used anymore. This is valid for both, the GVA Economy Light and the GVA Economy Flex fares.

6 3 New sale of GVA Fare Structure Due to different fare products in the same RBD, the concept of the new GVA Fare Structure will have a different approach. What is important in the sales conversation with the passenger? It is very important to find out the passengers needs first. Then propose the best fare and properly explain the conditions. In some cases it makes sense to offer two one way fares instead of a return ticket. The overview below may help you to choose the right product for our passengers. Sales conversation guidance for the new GVA Economy Fares : Passenger wants. No flexibility, no free baggage allowance Flexibility wanted but no free baggage allowance No flexibility wanted but free baggage allowance Flexibility wanted and free baggage allowance Flexibility only for one way needed Free baggage allowance only for out or inbound One ways GVA Economy Light GVA Light / GVA Flex GVA Light / GVA Flex YOU offer.. Return GVA Economy Light GVA Light / GVA Flex HINT: For passengers who need flexibility for rebooking/refund or free baggage allowance in one direction only, we recommend to either buy two one way fares or one return ticket, where flexibility and baggage is included Sales combinations Conditions below are also valid for one way fares & Business class fares within the new GVA Fare Structure. GVA ECONOMY LIGHT / GVA ECONOMY LIGHT Non-changeable within the GVA Economy Light fare structure. Upgrade possible to fares. No free baggage allowance for both fare components. Non-refundable in ALL fare levels (RBD). Whenever the passenger decides to take along a baggage on one fare component, the entire ticket (pricing unit) must be reissued and upgraded to the GVA Flex fare structure, even though the baggage will be brought only on one leg and even if one leg is already flown. o Example: GVA-LX-PRG /LIGHT FARE CPN: FLOWN PRG-LX-GVA/LIGHT FARE CPN: OPEN If passenger decides to bring a bag on the return flight only, the entire ticket needs to be upgraded to the fare structure including the GVA-PRG leg which is already flown. Reissue done in the same RBD (as it is purely related to baggage ) GVA ECONOMY LIGHT/GVA ECONOMY OR SWISS Outbound non-changeable within the GVA Economy Light fare structure only upgrade to fare structure possible. No free baggage allowance on the outbound. If the passenger decides to take along a baggage on the outbound, the GVA Economy Light fare needs to be upgraded to the fare first. IMPORTANT: no free change possible of return flight fare as in combination with GVA Economy Light on the outbound and this must be upgraded at any time, even if already flown and irrespective if fare component is changed or not. Free baggage allowance only on the return flight included free of charge.
7 GVA ECONOMY OR SWISS FARE - GVA ECONOMY LIGHT Free baggage allowance only on the outbound flight included free of charge. IMPORTANT: no free change possible of outbound flight fare as in combination with the GVA Economy Light fare on the inbound and this must be upgraded at any time, even if already flown and irrespective, if fare component is changed or not. No free baggage allowance on the inbound. If the passenger decides to take along a baggage on the inbound, the GVA Economy Light fare needs to be upgraded to the fare first. Inbound non-changeable within the GVA Economy Light fare structure only upgrade to flex fare structure possible. GVA ECONOMY /GVA ECONOMY Changeable free of charge at any time, no rebooking fee in ALL booking classes (RBD s). 1PC free baggage allowance in Economy class. Charge CHF 100 per direction in case of cancellation/refund, valid for ALL booking classes. 3.2 Fare Quotation Due to different fare products in the same RBD (one GVA Economy Light fare and one fare for all RBDs in economy class) the fare quote will always show the fare only! In order to quote the SWISS GVA Economy Light fares, it needs to be quoted with the corresponding account code of your GDS: Amadeus: 1A FXP/R,U Galileo: 1G FQCLX-GVALIGHT Sabre: 1S WPAC*GVALIGHT PV Worldspan: 1P 4PFSR#/@@GVALIGHT
8 4 Baggage 4.1. Free Baggage Allowance GVA Economy Light fares All GVA Economy Light fares don t offer a free baggage allowance, irrespective of the RBD booked. The baggage allowance field in the ticket shows therefore *NIL* If a passenger still brings a bag, the GVA Economy Light fare must be first upgraded to the fare which has 1PC allowance (max. 23KG/158cm) or to a GVA Business fare which has a FBA of 2 x 32KG. Note: if the checked bag is exceeding in either weight or dimension, the respective heavy and/or oversized fee must be collected on a separate excess baggage ticket. Following exceptions apply: Miles & More: HON/SEN/FTL and STAR GOLD members can bring 1 checked baggage, even if holding a GVA Economy Light fare, thus without having to upgrade to the fare. Golf Equipment: Passenger holding a SWISS Golf Traveller membership card or HON/SEN/STAR Gold members can still bring 1 golf bag equipment free or charge, even if traveling with a GVA Economy Light fare. Example for GVA-PRG: Passenger holding a GVA Economy Light fare FBA (free baggage allowance) = NIL Passenger brings the following checked luggage: 1 bag à 28kg/158cm Calculation 1. Upgrade the ticket to the fare FBA = 1PC à 23KG/158cm 2. In addition, collect the heavy fee ( in the example 5kg) on a separate EXB (excess bag ticket) and GVA Business fares Same Baggage Provisions as for other SWISS Fares Standard SWISS PC allowance for whole network: 1 x 23KG for YCL 2 x 32KG for CCL
Sports equipment In general there are no changes to the existing SPEQ rules for - & GVA Business fares. Exceptions for GVA Economy Light fares: Sport equipment (SPEQ): No SPEQ can be taken along if holding a GVA Economy Light fare because no baggage is included in the ticket. The ticket must be upgraded to the fare structure. Afterwards, the existing SPEQ rules apply. Exceptions to Golf bag refer to paragraph Ski equipment: First ski equipment, which is always free of charge when travelling on SWISS, is not included for the GVA Economy Light fare. Only passengers with an FBA of at least 1PC may take along 1 ski equipment free of charge. Example for GVA-PRG Passenger holding a GVA Economy Light fare FBA = NIL Passenger brings the following checked luggage 1 x normal bag à 15KG 1 x bike 10KG Calculation 1. Upgrade ticket to the fare FBA = 1PC 2. Collect the SPEQ charge on a EXB ticket (SPEQ is only free of charge if the FBA is not exceeded) 4.3. XBAG charges Our common pre-defined XBAG rates are only valid for passengers who have at least 1PC free baggage allowance in their ticket Cabin Baggage allowance No changes to existing SWISS cabin baggage policy. Valid for all fares within the new GVA Fare Structure. 5 Help Desk For SWISS interfaces no change occurs. This means that for any pricing related matters use your current contacts.
