3 3 Non-Credit Courses and Workshops None Curriculum Development In Fall 2010, I developed a new course for our campus, SOC 312 Sociology of the. It is hoped that this BACC core course (DPD) will provide an opportunity for non- majors to take a family-related course. Additionally, it allows our students the opportunity to mix with peers from other disciplines. In mer 2011, I pilot-tested a new course for our campus, 312 Parenting: Research and Application, blending a focus on parenting skills and serving as parent educators in the community. Graduate Students Though I am not involved in mentoring specific graduate students, I assist the Secondary MAT program in interviewing potential graduate students and I also participate as an examiner in the student s Oral Exams. Undergraduate Students An integral part of the program is the experience. As the faculty supervisor for Human Services majors, I work closely in mentoring the students in their internship placements. In addition to weekly meetings, I visit their placement site and meet with the students and their onsite supervisors. Collaborative Projects In Winter 2010, I presented a four-session module in NR 350 on issues related to Families and Sustainability. Also, in Winter 2010 I served as a guest presenter in TCE 531, addressing issues of adolescent and adult development for counseling students. In Spring 2011, at the request of the Academic Dean, I co-taught TCE 581 and mentored an instructor in the graduate Counseling program. 2.
