His accomplishments include the development of 6 million square feet of shopping centers, 4 million square feet of office and industrial space and 1.5 million square feet of self-storage. Aaron Malinsky is a former executive with a major supermarket chain, a position which provided unparalleled experience in the identification and development of retail real estate projects. FORDHAM PLACE BRONX, NY Overlooking Fordham University, and located on the third largest retail corridor in New York City, 400 East Fordham Road will serve the community s consumers, workers and institutions with office and retail space on multiple levels. The redevelopment entails the refurbishment of the existing structure, and the creation of an additional 100,000 square feet of rental space.
5 SHERMAN PLAZA MANHATTAN, NY The Sherman Plaza building is an acknowledgement of the vitality of the Washington Heights/Inwood section of Manhattan, and represents the area s most important development project in over 20 years. Located on the corner of Broadway and Sherman Avenue, across from Fort Tryon Park, the project transforms a site used as garage space into a 400,000 square foot mixed use structure containing 50,000 square feet of retail space, a 150,000 square foot residential tower, 100,020 square feet of office/community facilities, and a parking garage.
6 RIVER PLAZA SHOPPING CENTER BRONX, NY Recognized by the Real Estate Board of New York as its 2002 Retail Deal of the Year, River Plaza represents 250,000 square feet of local and national retailers, with Target as its anchor tenant. The site, located on Kingsbridge Road directly off the Major Deegan Expressway, was assembled from a collection of dilapidated garages and old warehouses; the necessary environmental remediation was all privately funded. 7 PELHAM MANOR SHOPPING CENTER PELHAM MANOR, NY Located on Route 1 at Exit 7 of the Hutchinson River Parkway, the Pelham Manor Shopping Plaza offers over 250,000 square feet of retail space in one of the most attractive demographic regions in the U.S. P/A Associates was able to take the original 16 acre, 50 year old industrial complex, mastermind a strategy for this challenging project, and accomplish a successful acquisition and redevelopment plan.
8 INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT In its industrial undertakings, P/A Associates seeks properties that offer significant scale near major transportation hubs, and then designs comprehensive master plans for their development and usage. In addition to major highway access, it is within four miles of the Port of Newark and Newark/Liberty Airport. Part of the state s Smart Growth model, it involves a threephase, $100 million redevelopment of a total of 120 acres, formerly used as landfills.
