2 Event Title: Prof.Ravikumar Tiwari from Electronics Department GHRCE Nagpur attended INUP HANDS-ON TRAINING WORKSHOP ON NANOFABRICATION TECHNOLOGIES - IIT Bombay Caption: Prof.Ravikumar Tiwari attended INUP HANDS-ON TRAINING WORKSHOP ON NANOFABRICATION TECHNOLOGIES - IIT Bombay during January 19-23, 2015 at Electrical Engineering Department, IIT-Bombay. INUP HANDS-ON TRAINING WORKSHOP ON NANOFABRICATION TECHNOLOGIES, was organized by INUP IIT-Bombay from 19 to 23 January 2015.Prof.Ravikumar Tiwari (Electronics Dept.) GHRCE attended the Hands-on workshop. The main objective of this workshop was to give the hands-on practice to the participant on various processing and manufacturing technologies of VLSI. During the workshop, the participants perform RCA cleaning of Si wafer, Oxidation of Si wafer, Metalization and Back-etching. All this processes were performed inside the clean room of IIT-Bombay Nanofabrication facilities. In the concluding session of the workshop, Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao briefs participants and motivates research scholars to submit novel project proposal under INUP.

Under IEEE SB G.H.Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur, a seminar on 'MOTIVATIONAL TALK ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP ' was organized on 31st January 2015 delivered by Mr. Saket Salpekar, CEO & Director of Technobizz Marketing Solution Ltd and a Freelancer Motivational Speaker 2015 for UG students of Electronics Engineering GHRCE Nagpur This seminar by Mr.Saket Salpekar highlighted the prime factors on

4 the path to become a successful entrepreneur. Starting with some motivating Quotes he mesmerized the students in prolong interaction throughout the session. He discussed the primitive ABC of Entrepreneurship which made us aware on the following pros and cons of an entrepreneur. His vision had a different angle by which he named A for Attitude B for Bold in your beliefs C for Circumstances so on and so forth with some practical examples. Prof.L.P.Thakare IEEE Incharge and Exicom-2014 student members worked hard for the successful of this activity. Prof. Chetan Dhule from IT department conducted this workshop. Total of 29 students from electronics, ETC and CSE branch have registered for the workshop. The main objective of the workshop was to get students acquaintance with Android App Development IDE and the process flow of android app development.

Description about THE EVENT Dr.S.S.Limaye conducted guest lecture on FPGA based High frequency trading on stock market.the talk was about new trading system. NSE started screen based trading with electronics market. Then information of algorithm trading i.e. the trading system that utilizes very advanced mathematics nodes for marketing transactions decision in the financial marketing was discussed and focus was given about the beginning of Algorithm Trading (AT).The content of talk was related to Modeling of Digital System.M Tech second semester students of Electronics/VLSI were present during the expert talk.the talk was organized on 31 st January 2015.Dr.D.V.Padole and Prof.P.H.Rangaree were the coordinators for this event.

7 Event Title: Prof. P. M. Ghutke from Electronics DGHRCE attended two days workshop at IIT, Bombay. Caption: Prof. P. M. Ghutke and Prof. Farhina Ansari from GHRCE attended two days workshop at IIT, Bombay IIT Bombay organized two days workshop on Electromagnetics: Pedagogy and Research Trends sponsored by MHRD-TEQIP-KIT, CDEEP, on Jan The workshop is mainly intended for TEQIP supported institutes, and a pedagogical aspect of electromagnetic fields and waves. Around 250 academicians from all over India, Ms. Payal Ghutke (Assistant Professors) from G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur attended the workshop. The objective of workshop was to promote the research areas and opportunities in low frequency and high frequency electromagnetic while simultaneously providing innovative teaching methods & experimental setup to overcome the obstacles during teaching. In this two days, seven technical sessions were held on various topics. For the various technical sessions, well known personalities like Dr. R. K Shevgaonkar, Director IIT Delhi, Dr.A. On 9th Feb 2015, a guest lecture was organized by the Electronics Engineering Department, G.H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur under IEEE Students Branch. The lecture was delivered by Mr Charudatta Bhure. He is R & D professional in the field of product development in Electronics Industry. Currently he is working at In Bharat Forge Limited, Pune as Associate Vice President (Railway Electronics R&D) and is responsible for Establishing R&D centre from scratch by identifying and recruiting required technical resources from power electronics, control electronics, embedded software, mechanical engineering & Design and

9 development of IGBT based inverter and converters for high power applications such as traction converters, auxiliary converter, battery charges, IGBT gate drive circuits, PWM generation. The lecture was organized for students of B.E. IVth semester of Electronics Engineering. The lecture was conducted on the topic Static Controllable Switches & Its Application. Guest briefed the students about the concepts related to Power Electronics Static Controllable Switches such as SCR, Power MOSFET, IGBT etc.he also discussed with the students current & upcoming technologies related to Power Electronics. It was an enlightening session as he told the students about the importance of power conversion in Industry & shared real life experiences of 17+ years in Design and development activities. It was a learning and interactive session for the 140 students, where he answered all the queries put up by the students to their full satisfaction. The whole activity was conducted by Professor M. Mr. Charudatta Bhure, R&D consultant from Bharat Forge Ltd guided students of 8 th semester on basics of Embedded Systems, Design Aspects using Embedded Systems & problems which should be taken care during design of Embedded Systems on 9 th February Mr. Charudatta Bhure was welcomed by Dr. S. D. Giripunje. The guest lecture was coordinated by Prof S. N. Joshi. The guest lecture was enthusiastically attended by over 120 students of 8 th sem A & B section. He is also alumni of GHRCE(2006 Batch). The main research area of Soumya De is Surface roughness characterization of High Speed Cisco boards. During his talk, he primarily talks

16 on his patented work Method and apparatus for determining surface roughness of metal foil within printed circuits. Texas Instrument s India aimed this competition to motivate the students for analog circuit making and implementation. The problem statement was defined by Texas and students need to work on IC TL072 provided by then. Total 34 groups from all branches of GHRCE were participated in the competition. Dr. S.S. Dorle and Prof.K.K. Jajulwar were worked as expert for the competition. GHRCE attended workshop BEST IN TEST WITH KEYSIGHT, organized by SYNERGY Measurement Technology Pvt. Ltd. on 18 th February The main objective of this workshop to bridge the gap between various technologies and test & Measurement products as looked upon in education segment and industries. This Seminar focussed on the RF & Digital Basics and also the latest applications and technologies that are driving the curriculum in education segment as well as industries today. Various equipments including 3000X oscilloscope, Spectrum analyser, fielf fox network analyser, Dc power analyser, handheld DMM, DAQ systems and ADS software were demonstrations. In the concluding session of the workshop, Er.Waman Joglekar briefs participants and motivates research scholars for R&D and product development for the test and validation requirement for the latest and upcoming technologies.

Both the experts evaluated the quality of the Question bank along with the subjects teachers.they evaluated each question and also suggested the appropriate corrections.
