3 Classes for grades k 3 9 AM 10:30 AM Classes Cartooning for Kids Super heroes and popular cartoon characters will come alive each week. Create funny, goofy, colorful characters using your imagination. Make a comic book that may be good enough for the Funnies! Instructor: Elaine Barry Material Fee: $5 CRN: Junior Veterinarian Are you a young, budding veterinarian? If so, Junior Vet is for YOU! Learn all about animal care, habitats, and handling during this hands-on experience. Working with live animals including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, small animals, you will be an expert Junior Vet when you graduate! Instructor: Casey Worthington Material Fee: $5 CRN: LEGOs World! Everything IS Awesome in LEGOs World. In each class, build vehicles, bridges, cars, boats, airplanes, and anything else you want to! Instructor: David Sirois No Material Fee CRN: ART... Monsters, Haunted Houses, and Goblins Draw, Paint and Build Invent your favorite monster by sketching, painting and creating 3D sculptures. In this Spooky workshop, learn how to draw haunted houses in perspective, how to give your eye-popping goons a crazy grin and have a whole lot of fun! Talk about the scientific principles involved with each experiment, like making flubber out of glue and Borax, making ice cream, creating a rollercoaster using foam and marbles, and more! Instructor: Bessie Broufas Material Fee: $10 CRN: Mad Scientist Conduct hands-on experiments using safe and simple material found at home, or in grocery stores or school supply stores. Designed especially for pint-sized actors/singers/ dancers who are prepared to experience lots of fun and laughter. Develop scenes from a comedic script in this golden opportunity to exercise your acting, singing and dancing talent, while working towards a performance for family and friends in the final class. After School Pastry & Baking Class is a six-week session on Wednesday afternoons, 4 6 PM mynscc.kids2college Have you ever wanted to try making delicious cupcakes without using a cake mix? What about apple pie, scones, muffins, biscuits, and fancy cookies? Brownies are very easy to make, even without a mix. Learn basics about how to prepare a pie crust, what makes a cake rise and more! Baking is lots of fun especially when you get to taste and bring home your creations! These are all baking projects that you can learn to do in a two-hour class once a week.
