2 10 Easy Steps For A Great Reebok Spartan Race Experience! 1. Once you arrive at the race venue, proceed to the BIB NUMBERS/ WAIVERS tent located near the entrance to the Festival Area. 2. Find your BIB number located on the BIB Number wall. Write your BIB number on your arm. 3. Fill out and sign your Participant Waiver. 4. Proceed to REGISTRATION tent with your Waiver and Identification in hand. Choose the lane with the number sequence that matches your BIB number. 5. Pick up your race packet from one of our awesome volunteers. 6. Loop the yellow wristband through the timing chip and attach it to your wrist. 7. Attach your BIB number to your shirt with safety pins. 8. If you choose, drop your stuff at BAG CHECK tent for safekeeping. Bag Check is $5 per bag. 9. Head into the Festival Area, look for the START signs located within the Festival. 10. Prepare For Glory!

6 PRE-RACE DETAILS PLEASE READ! Follow these Pre-Race Instructions to ensure a speedy registration on race day! 1. Visit the Tri-State NJ Super Spartan event page on our website. 2. Scroll down to Important Race Documents. 3. ATHLETE START TIMES will be posted on Wednesday, August 28 th. 4. BIB NUMBERS will be posted on Monday, September 2 nd. 5. Click on the Start Times Link to find your exact start time. Your name will be in alphabetical order according to your last name. There you will find your heat start time. Write it down. Your BIB Number will be used to find your race packet when you arrive on Race Day. 6. Print the Reebok Spartan Race Waiver located under Important Documents. 7. Fill out the waiver completely and bring it with you along with one valid form of ID. 8. EVERY RACER MUST SIGN A WAIVER & SHOW A VALID FORM OF ID! DO NOT FORGET YOUR PHOTO ID!!!

7 RACE DAY REGISTRATION FLOW NOTE: Day of Race Registration will be available at a fee of $175. WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE ANY TRANSFERS FROM SUNDAY, September 8 th TO SATURDAY, September 7 th EVENT. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SHOW UP AND RACE ON THE WRONG DAY, YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY. Saturday: Sunday: STEP 1: STEP 2: STEP 3: STEP 4: STEP 5: STEP 6: Registration OPENS at 6:30am and CLOSES at 4:00pm. NOTE: Show up at least 1 HOUR prior to your Heat Start Time. Registration OPENS at 6:30am and CLOSES at 1:30pm. With BIB number, Signed Waiver, and PHOTO IDENTIFICATION in hand, proceed to the REGISTRATION TENT. ** If you DO NOT have your BIB Number or Waiver, you can locate these at the BIB NUMBERS/ WAIVERS tents. Find the registration lane with the number sequence that matches your BIB number. Participants will hand race waiver to one of our awesome Volunteers in the Registration tent. Waivers and ID will be checked to verify identity before packet is received. You will receive: Race Bib (Bibs should be pinned on your front, back, or shorts). Spartan Headband with Bib Number- please wear headband during race so we can recognize your bib number. Loop the yellow strap through the timing chip and attach it to your wrist. Free Drink ticket- Located on your bib (Don t lose this as we won t give you another one!!!) One wristband is for access to the festival. You MUST have a wristband to enter the festival area; please keep it on at all times. Once you have your race packet and headband, proceed to our MARKING STATION where our Volunteers will write your BIB NUMBER on your ARM. BAG CHECK. If you re planning to store gear at our Bag Check tent, bag tags will be provided for your belongings so that you may check your belongings safely. We will be tagging your bag with a wristband, which will match another one we give you to put on. When you finish the race you turn in your wristband and collect your bag. Bags can be checked for $5 per bag. Bags will only be returned to individuals whose name and number match up. You will be given $5 Spartan Bucks as well when you drop off your bag which is redeemable at the Merchandise tent (not valid for Food or Beverages). Saturday: Bag Check tent will open at 6:30am and CLOSES at 9:30pm. Sunday: Bag Check tent will open at 6:30am and CLOSES at 8:30pm.

SUNDAY- Start Schedule 8:00AM Combined Men s & Women s Elite Combined Start 8:30AM - 8:45AM Confirmed Start Heats Begin. 9:00AM OPEN /Morning Start Heats Begin. On Sunday, we have a combined Men and Women s Elite Heat at 8:00am. Beginning at 9:00AM, OPEN waves of 200 racers will be released every 15 minutes. You MUST start in your designated heat time, so please be in the starting corral on time! ALL RACERS MUST RUN IN THEIR DESIGNATED START TIME. If you don t know your start time, you can locate it on our Tri-State NJ Super Spartan event page or at the BIB Number tent located near the entrance to the festival area. If you have any problems with your registration, please come to the Race Day Registration tent and we ll help resolve it. COURSE DESCRIPTION Terrain: Mountain Creek is a ski mountain with steep terrain and we plan to use it to it s maximum potential! That means a great deal of elevation change from start to finish. From steep inclines to rocky, single/wide track descents, and back up again, please come prepared for water as there will be plenty of it on the mountain, PFDs will be available. Weather: Last year we had some of the most insane weather we have seen at a Spartan Race with tornado and storm warnings in the late afternoon. Bring an umbrella! Water Stations: As always, Spartans come prepared! All racers should be sure to bring extra water and energy fuel if needed. There will be four water stations throughout the course and one at the finish line. EVENT TIMING You will receive a Chip Timer ($40 value) and yellow wrist strap to record your time and results. Chip Timer must be fastened around wrist in order to record your finish time properly. Upon completion of the race at the Finish line: o Drop Chip Timer and wrist strap into buckets at either side of the Finish Line. o You will then receive your Spartan Race Medal and T-Shirt. Finisher Times will be posted at the Results Tent near the Finish Line and will be on the Spartan Race Website as quickly as possible.

Once you ve crossed the finish line, head over to the showers to get clean, then stop by the FINISHER SHIRT tent to collect your shirt. Wear it with pride; you ll have earned it! Be sure to wear your medal as proof that you re a Spartan finisher. AWARDS Saturday: There will be an awards ceremony at 11:50am and other activities during the course of the day on Saturday. The top 3 male and 3 female racers will also receive a Unique Reebok Spartan Race Plaque designed by one of our most loyal racers. Each of the top 3 male and females will also be featured on Spartan Race's Wall of Champions page. Each child is $30 and each finisher will receive a finisher s medal. Bring Cash or Check if you are planning to register on-site. Look for the orange Kids Fit Banners to locate the Starting Line.

10 SPARTAN HURRICANE HEAT Saturday Evening: 6:30pm The Spartan Hurricane Heat gives runners the chance to meet and run with the Founders and staff of Spartan Race in a unique and memorable way. Held on Saturday evening, both on and off the Spartan Race Course, the goal is to finish as a team. No timing chips, no clock, just a Spartan-style workout that represents what our company and our athletes are all about getting up when you re knocked down and finishing what you start. Successful finishers earn Hurricane Heat dog tags, a Hurricane Heat Badge, entry into a closed networking group, a finisher t-shirt, and the chance of a lifetime to find the Spartan finish line as a Hurricane Heater. As our ONLY Saturday night Hurricane Heat of the year, the Tri-State NJ HH will take place at 6:00pm, Saturday NIGHT and will last 3+ hours. If you are registered for a regular heat on Saturday or Sunday, you can join the Hurricane Heat for only $25. Visit here to get signed up! NOTE: All Hurricane Heat participants MUST arrive at the Mountain Creek venue by 6:00pm or earlier on Saturday evening. All Hurricane Heaters will meet at the Start Line at 6:00pm sharp. Don t be late! All registered Hurricane Heaters will receive parking instructions via on Thursday, September 5 th. FESTIVAL CHALLENGES While you are waiting to race or looking for that extra workout, try out one of our Festival Challenges. You can test your skills on the Traverse Wall, see how many pull-ups you can do at our Pull-up Challenge, how many times you can flip a Tractor Tire, how far you are able to move the Sled, or if you can press the Slosh Pipe. Traverse Wall Challenge The fastest across this 24 long wall using small hand and foot holds, wins. ANG Pull Up Challenge Cameras will record this entire challenge in hopes of documenting a new Guinness World Record for most pull-ups in one minute. Slosh Pipe Press A PVC pipe capped at both ends and filled with water. The tube is only filled to about 60% capacity, which allows the water to slosh around. How many times can you press the Slosh Pipe in one minute? Tire Flip Challenge Flip a tractor tire as many times as possible in 60 seconds. AWARDS: First place male and female receive a Free Race Entry to the Spartan Race event of their choice.

11 HOW TO GET HERE Mountain Creek Waterpark 120 Route 94 Vernon, NJ Click here for Map and Directions. Parking: Please feel free to use our Facebook wall to arrange carpooling! Due to limited available parking, we highly recommend you carpool with some friends! Parking is $10 (cash) per car. No overnight camping is allowed. VIP Parking: A limited number of VIP Parking spaces are available on Saturday and Sunday for $40. Carpool with your friends, park directly on-site and walk to the starting line. Saturday VIP Parking passes are available online here for $40. Sunday VIP Parking passes are available online here for $40. **Numbered VIP Parking Passes will be ed to participants on Wednesday, September 4 th. SPECTATORS Spectator passes are available online here for $20. Tickets will remain on sale until 8pm, Friday, September 6 th. Once you register, please print the Spectator Waiver from the Tri-State NJ Super Spartan event page and bring an ID and your confirmation letter to the Spectator Tent on race day. On-site Spectator tickets will be $25 (please bring cash, limited Credit Card service available). Children 13 and under get in for free. All Paid Spectators receive $5 Spartan Bucks for use in Merchandise. Spartan Bucks NOT redeemable at Food & Beverage vendors. Anyone entering the festival MUST have a wristband (including racers) Food (BBQ and healthy options) and drink will be for sale. (Please bring cash) DJ & Emcee entertainment all day. Spectator maps will be available at the Spectator Tent for those looking to get close to the action. 12 EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING All participants are encouraged to bring a change of clothes, shoes, and a plastic bag. You are going to get wet and muddy! Shoe Donation will be available- we ll clean and send your filthy running shoes to needy feet all over the globe. Just tie them together and toss them in the pile by the showers. FOOD & BEVERAGES Food and beverage will be available for sale so please bring cash and have your ID ready if you are planning on having a beer. Your complimentary beer on us will also be available to those of age as well! RESPONSIBLE DRINKING Spartan Race HQ reminds you to drink responsibly. This race is one of grit and determination that should not be tarnished by the irresponsible acts of few. SPARTAN RACE SPECIAL OFFERS Please stop by the Future Sales Tent in our Festival for some great discounts and information on up coming races!!! FACILITIES Porta-Potties will be located throughout the festival area. Washing Stations are located on-site, but bring a towel and a change of clothes. SPARTAN INFORMATION No coolers or glass bottles allowed on property. Security staff will check for them as you enter. Shoe and clothing donation available both in festival and in parking lots. If you want to donate your muddy clothing and shoes make sure you drop it off at the proper tent and not on the ground. You must have ID to check in. Only people ages 13 and older can participate in the adult s race. Those under 13 are encouraged to join the Kids Fit race. 13 year olds require a guardian to run with them on the adult course. No DOGS/ pets allowed - Only Service Dogs with proper credentials are allowed. Please DO NOT call venue with questions! This race is no joke INCLEMENT WEATHER In the event of inclement weather such as lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes and the like, Spartan Race reserves the right to eliminate obstacles, select portions of the course, or cancel the event in order to ensure the safety of racers, volunteers and staff. Weather in the hills can be unpredictable at times. Please come prepared for chilly morning temps and possible rainstorms.
