1 Now Operates Using Engage Software! Here s what you need to know about the changes to our program beginning Monday April 4, 2016
2 Membership plans have new names! Gold = JetSetter Silver = Cruiser There are now flat day rates no matter what day of the week you use the car. The day rate is applied to any booking that is 8 or more hours long. You now get 150 miles included in any day booking so you can go farther!
3 Accessing your account: Go to capitalcarshare.org, click login * Your account # is the same. Your password** has been set to your driver s license #. Your username is your first initial+last name Ex: John Smith = jsmith. * You may use your account # or your username to log in ** Passwords can be changed
4 Desktop computer view Reservations are now called bookings!
5 Please Note: You may need to input your credit, debit, or prepaid card the first time you login. Go to My Account and look in the Invoicing tab.
6 When logging in to your account on a smartphone or tablet, this is the mobile view.
7 Booking a car: This is an example of search results for a new booking. After selecting book it you will be taken to a checkout screen to confirm your booking payment.
8 Booking and Payments: What s changed THE AUTOMATED RESERVATION LINE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Charges for extensions, lateness, and/or over mileage are processed within 15 days. Once these charges are processed, they will be added to your NEXT BOOKING, or to your invoice if they are from your last booking of the month. Invoices will be sent out on the 9th of the month. Payment will be collected on the 12th OR SOONER if you make a booking between the 9th and the 12th of the month. There will be a $25 flat fee after 3+ minutes of lateness during each booking. Remember to extend online or by calling us during business hours if you need more time! Cancel a booking 3+ hours in advance to receive a full refund of credits. When you return a car early, you will receive a 50% credit refund for the time you originally booked but did not use.
9 Booking and Payments What s staying the same: Over mileage charges remain at $.25/mi Extension costs are prorated, i.e. a 30 minute extension is $4 on the JetSetter plan. Invoices will be due on the 12th of every month, if not paid in advance.* Initial payment for car bookings is due at the time the booking is made. Refunds are given as CarShare account credits, not as payments back on your card. You can call our office, during business hours, to make a booking. *See previous slide to explain how advance payment works.
10 Optional Insurance Coverage: As a CarShare member, you are always covered by our auto insurance when using our vehicles. If an accident or damage occurs during your booking there is a $500 deductible. Our current policy offers additional insurance coverage to reduce deductible costs at the rate of $1 per booking. We re now offering an annual optional insurance plan called the CarShare Damage Pool. Instead of paying an additional fee per booking, you may now optin to this coverage for $30/year. The CarShare Damage Pool will cover the full deductible for any damage/accident during one booking over the course of the year. Once you ve used the pool to cover damage costs during one of your bookings, you may rejoin the CarShare Damage Pool at a prorated amount to cover the remainder of the year. The CarShare Damage Pool is optional. If you choose not to join deductible costs are $500 per accident/damage to a vehicle. Please contact us immediately if you would like to join the CarShare Damage Pool and reduce your chance of paying a deductible in case of damage/accident during your bookings!
11 Remember Enter your payment information when you login on or after April 4th, There are flat day rates with more miles included. Additional charges from your bookings (extensions, over mileage, etc.) will be added to one of your next bookings. Remaining charges from your last booking in the month will be added to your invoice. We no longer have the automated phone line. Your password has been temporarily set to your driver s license number.
