2 Overview of Quick Quote How much money could you be saving with SaxonMG? Five minutes can show you And you don t have to leave your home or office. Open up our easy Quick Quote process, fill in your car and driver information, specify the discounts you qualify for, and see your estimated premium. This user guide covers the following: Getting a Quick Quote on page 2. Shows how to get a Quick Quote through the SaxonMG Consumer Portal. Other Actions on page 8. Shows what you can do after you ve gotten your Quick Quote. Getting a Quick Quote Getting a Quick Quote involves the following procedures: Before You Begin on page 2, Getting Started on page 3, Filling out the Form on page 3, Selecting Your Add-On Coverages and Discounts on page 4, Creating an Account on page 6. Before You Begin Before you begin, you should have your car s information handy: Model year, Make (e.g., Ford, Toyota), Model (e.g., Explorer, Corolla) Engine size, and Estimated current market value in CI. This is the value that you believe you could sell your car for today. To find this out, you can check out what cars of a similar make, model, and model year are selling for on sites like To get started creating a Quick Quote, see Getting Started on page 3. QUICK GUIDE to QUICK QUOTE 2

3 Getting Started Note: Once you start, it s important to go through the entire Quick Quote in one sitting. If you pause partway through and leave the screen, your session might be timed out and you ll have to start over again. 1. In your web browser, go to 2. Click Get a Quick Quote. You are at the Get a Quote page. 3. Click Get Started. You are at the Quick Quote page. For next steps, see Filling out the Form on page 3. Filling out the Form On the Quick Quote screen, enter the details that will determine the quoted price for your car insurance. 1. Fill out the form fields. What you need to enter is described in the table below: Field First Name and Last Name address Date of Birth No Claim Discount Percentage What You Enter Your first and last name. Your personal address. Your date of birth. The discount off the premium that your current or previous insurer gave you for being claims free for a number of years. It is normally shown on your renewal notice. If you are unsure what your No Claim Discount is, populate this field according to the following guideline: If you ve been driving for five years without filing a claim, select 60% For four years, select 50% For three years, select 40% For two years, select 30% For one year, select 20% If none of the above situations applies or you are a new driver, select None/Unknown. Car s model year. Car s make (e.g., Ford, Toyota). Car s model (e.g., Explorer, Corolla). Model Year Make Model Engine Size (cc s) Car s engine size in cubic centimetres (or litres L) Vehicle Value (in KYD) Estimated current market value of vehicle in $CI. Promotional Code Any promotional code that s been provided to you. A valid promotional code gives you a discount on your premium. Rebate Code Code used to pay referral fees or donations to particular programs. No discount is provided for a rebate code. QUICK GUIDE to QUICK QUOTE 3

4 2. Click Next. You are at the Add-ons/Discounts screen. For next steps, see Selecting Your Add-On Coverages and Discounts on page 4. Selecting Your Add-On Coverages and Discounts On the Add-ons/Discounts screen, you select the add-on coverage and discount options and get to compare the different costs for Comprehensive and Third Party insurance. These coverages and options are not automatically allowed. To have them apply, you must select them. A Third Party policy covers your legal liability for injury to others (including passengers) and damage to other people s property. A Comprehensive policy boasts the broadest spectrum of cover. It includes Third Party and insures you against damage to your car. At the top of the page, there are premiums calculated for both Comprehensive and Third Party coverages. You can adjust the add-ons and discounts and see how the premiums are affected. The Add-ons/Discounts screen comprises three columns: Coverages Lists all the possible coverages and discounts. Comprehensive Shows the cost of the coverage or value of the discount for a Comprehensive policy. Third Party Shows the cost of the coverage or value of the discount for a Third Party policy. 5 1. In the fields of the Coverages column, use the radio buttons and the drop down lists to select or adjust the coverages that you want. For Third Party coverage you can choose to add additional coverages. For Comprehensive coverage, you can choose to do without certain coverages and pay a lower premium. The fields of the Quick Quote Details screen are described below: Field Start your policy today for Premium No Claims Discount No Claim Discount Protection Windscreen Protection Definition Premium calculated for a year s worth of automobile insurance taking into account the selections for discounts and additional coverages. Premium for a year s worth of automobile insurance BEFORE any discounts are subtracted and additional coverages are added. Pertains to Comprehensive only. Amount discounted for a record of not filing any claims. Determined by No Claims Discount Percentage value selected on the Quick Quote screen. Pertains to Comprehensive only. Cost of ensuring that you don t lose your No Claims Discount when renewing this policy if you file a claim during the period of insurance. Coverage against accidental damage to your car s windscreen. 6 Comprehensive Value: Discount for giving up Windscreen Protection in your Comprehensive policy. Third Party Value: Cost of adding Windscreen Protection to your Third Party policy. Fire & Theft Protection Coverage against damage to your car caused by fire or theft. Comprehensive Value: Discount for giving up Fire & Theft Protection in your Comprehensive policy. Third Party Value: Cost of adding Fire & Theft Protection to your Third Party policy. Hurricane & Flood Exclusion Pet Coverage Roadside Assistance Rental Car Cover Insured Driver Death Benefit *Covers only loss of/damage to the car, items inside the car are not covered. Pertains to Comprehensive only. Discount for giving up coverage against damage caused by hurricanes or flooding. Cost of coverage (up to $500) for veterinarian expenses in the event that your dog or cat is injured while travelling in a SaxonMG insured vehicle that s in an accident. Cost of ensuring that the Cayman Auto Club will provide you with roadside assistance (e.g., tow truck service) in the event of an accident. Cost of ensuring that we ll provide you with a rental car for a prescribed period of time in the event that your car is rendered inoperable by an accident regardless of who is at fault. Pertains to Comprehensive only. Cost of ensuring that your beneficiaries will receive a specified benefit in the event that you die in a car accident while driving your SaxonMG insured car. 2. Click Continue. The Create Account window appears. For next steps, see Creating an Account on page 6. QUICK GUIDE to QUICK QUOTE 6

7 Creating an Account On the Create Account window, you re prompted to create a user account through which you can login to the SaxonMG consumer portal. Through this portal, you can view your policy details, re-print your policy and certificate, create new quotes, and inform us of changes to your personal information. 1. Enter a user name, a password, and in the Consumer Login Verify Password field, enter the password again to verify it. 2. Click Confirm Password. The following message appears: If your account is created successfully, the system will log you back in under your new credentials. You can pick up your quote from your home page and continue submitting. 3. Click Create Account. The following message appears: Success! You may now continue your quote. 4. Click Continue Quote. You are taken back to the Add-ons/Discounts screen. You ve successfully created a Quick Quote and an account on the SaxonMG consumer portal. QUICK GUIDE to QUICK QUOTE 7

8 Other Actions After you ve created a Quick Quote and your account on the SaxonMG consumer portal, you can do the following: Printing Quick Quote Details on page 8, Modifying Quick Quotes on page 8, Proceeding to a Full Quote on page 8, Logging Out on page 8, Logging Into Account on SaxonMG Consumer Portal on page 9. Printing Quick Quote Details You can print the Quick Quote Details screen by choosing to print the screen through your web browser. It s a good idea to print out a copy of the Quick Quote Details screen to use as a reference when you meet with a SaxonMG representative to discuss your insurance policy. Modifying Quick Quotes If you re on the Add-ons/Discounts screen and you d like to go back to the form on the Quick Quote screen to modify the details of your Quick Quote, go to the left hand menu panel and click Quick Quote. You are taken back to the Quick Quote screen. Proceeding to a Full Quote A Quick Quote gives you a good idea of what you could pay for car insurance with SaxonMG, but given the limited information provided, it s not necessarily what you d end up paying. This is an estimate. It s possible that other factors could cause your estimated premiums to move up or down. To get a more accurate quote based on more complete information, take a few minutes and fill out a full quote online. To get this process started, from the Add-ons/Discounts screen, click Continue to Full Quote. You are at the General Information screen. Logging Out To log out of your account, click Logout at the top of the screen. QUICK GUIDE to QUICK QUOTE 8

9 Logging Into Account on SaxonMG Consumer Portal 1. To log back into the SaxonMG consumer portal, in your web browser go to and click Manage My Policy. You are at a screen that prompts you for your username and password. 2. Enter the username and password that you created for your account while you were filling out the Quick Quote. 3. Click Login. You are at the Policy Administration Dashboard for your account. Further Questions?
