3 Executive Summary The Administration Applications team continues to provide online and batch support to our Legacy users. The IPED reports were completed and locked. The last two TIP users were interviewed and the TIP survey is now complete. We will use the information from this survey to setup the security classes for Colleague. A project has been added that will compare the current Legacy reports against the Colleague reports to determine if they provide the same information. The mapping process was started for moving the data from the Legacy system to Colleague. The demographic information was mapped and the program to move the data has been started. The mapping was also reviewed for the admission, cash receipts, and invoices. Three days of Colleague training with Datatel consultant for Human Resources was completed. Colleague interface training was provided to Lois Smith (Business Office) and Rita Ladnier (Records Office). Team meetings were attended for Accounts Payable/Purchasing, Admissions, Implementation Oversight, CORE, and SAM. Several high priority projects were completed during April. The software to manage the power shutdown via the new APC UPS was also installed and configured. The Higher Education Center wireless project was completed. The equipment was installed and tested with the main floor of the Higher Ed Center having 100% wireless coverage. The College ISP (Merit) was onsite this month to finish the installation of the new fiber Internet connection. We worked with the Merit technicians to bring the circuit online and it was tested successfully. The 1 Gigabyte fiber connection from the College ISP Merit was installed and has been in a testing phase for over two weeks. A large amount of time was centered on planning for the implementation of Active Directory accounts and for students. Training and communication documentation has been completed and the OU container scheme has been laid out. The two new AD servers were received and installed as well. User Services activities this month included maintenance, repair, and relocation activities. The most visible of these was the dismantling of rooms 134 and 138 in preparation for the relocation of the College Testing Center on May 1. The relocation of media services office into OIT will allow for better integration of all services in a one stop office. Extensive technical audits before, during and after. - Implemented reporting code on new production website to allow data reporting via web services WebTrends server. - Continued regularly scheduled weekly webmaster meeting / conference call with appropriate committee staff and CIO. - Training on Information Channels system layer for different staff members at MCC (Julie W, Ann H. Athletics, Phyllis R. OIT) for working with event calendar as well as news posting. - Additional work for final visual element adjustments (additional rotating images, customized headers, left navigation photo replacement, etc). Additional applications are now live, pulling actual database content (OIT, Athletics calendars), staff directory. - Presently working on enhancements for file upload capabilities for nonimage documents (PDF, XLS, PPT documents) for replace as well as delete.
