Gaetano Gialanella, DDS Staging Full Mouth Rehabilitations: Making Comprehensive Dentistry a Reality for All Patients This lecture will include: A rationale for staging full mouth rehabilitations and increasing case acceptance Techniques for establishing and maintaining vertical dimension Techniques for long term temporary crowns Techniques for transferring temporaries to permanent crowns Case presentations Strategies for implementation into your practice Dr. Gialanella attended NYU College of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. degree. With a G.P. Residency at Nassau University Medical Center. After completion, he was chosen to serve as chief resident for an additional year. This put him in an elite group of less than four hundred dentists worldwide to complete this training. Consistent, predictable, clinical techniques to create quality dental restorations in a time efficient manner are of paramount importance for a healthy practice. Alan Brodine, DDS Prosthetically Driven Implant Treatment For Dentists and anyone interested from the dental team Predictably excellent function and esthetics of implant prostheses are obtained when the surgical treatment plan proceeds from the final prosthesis goal. While prosthesis choice or design may be influenced by the anatomical surgical limitations, we must avoid having implants surgically placed and later determining the prosthesis design based on post-surgical implant position. This presentation is aimed at explaining the interrelationship of partially edentulous and completely edentulous implant-supported prosthesis design and support requirements to implant surgical placement requirements, limitations and consideration for achieving excellence in long-term function and esthetics. Upon completion of this presentation, attendees should be able to answer the following questions: How do we make an implant crown look like a natural tooth growing out of gingiva? How do we know how many implants we need? How do we design implant occlusion? Where do the clinical crowns to teeth belong in the edentulous space and how does that requirement relate to prosthesis design, bone resorption pattern, bone grafting requirements, and vertical/horizontal implant surgical placement requirements? What are my prosthesis design options for the completely edentulous or partially edentulous patients? Should my implant-supported prostheses by screw-retained or cement-retained? How does bone remodeling after extraction affect implant surgical placement position and prosthesis design? How can we recognize and compensate for insufficient gingival volume in the esthetic zone? How can I know if there is enough vertical space for a particular prosthesis design?
