Kuwait, 2009 Alshaya is the Middle East s leading retailer and largest brand holder operating more than 1,800 stores utilizing three million square meters of retail space, with 18,000 employees serving 20 million customers a year in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Russia. Alshaya brand portfolio includes Starbucks, Mothercare, Next, and Debenhams. Reporting to Supply Chain Vice President: Managing the development of operational methodology and supply chain solutions for Alshaya newly acquired brands. Project managing the development of solutions by liaising with Finance, IT, and Operations. Project managing the implementation phase and assisting in operational roll out of new brands. Played an essential part in project managing the brand acquisition of the major textile and cosmetic US brand Victoria s Secret. Provided requirement analysis that played a significant role in the decision making process during the acquisition of the high end furniture brands under William Sonoma. Reporting to operations manager and managing country level team: Defined, developed and implemented Logistics plans, policies and procedures in line with corporate Logistics strategy. Played an instrumental role in expanding store count by being a project lead for multiple shop openings in Jordan. For existing operations, contributed to maintaining high standards of quality, inventory and loss prevention procedures, safety and customer service at shop floor. Managing annual allocated budget, managing expenditure, optimizing and reducing costs. Provided professional consultancy and guidance to internal customers on logistics. Evaluated optimizing the logistics network based on cost & quality tradeoffs. Developed and maintained working relationships with external local agencies and suppliers.

6 Corporate Network Services Leader- Americas, ARAMEX International Amman, Reporting to Express Product Vice President and managing regional team responsible for the American subcontinents: Conducted initial evaluations of potential partners in the region, and studied the legal and supervisory framework for the purpose of forging partnerships pertaining to the express business in the Americas to include Canada, USA, Mexico, and South America. Managed corporate team focusing on negotiating rates and measuring quality of service through designing customised reports. Conducted business trips for the purpose of policy implementation or partner auditing. Played an essential part in training the Iberia Express team in Madrid on the operational procedures of the network following signing the partnership agreement to cover South America via Madrid (Spain, 2006). Assisted efforts to reform operational and technical procedures to ensure being in line with the US Transportation Security Authority (TSA) Regulations in JFK airport (New York, 2007).
