1 St Patrick s College Silverstream NCEA level 2 Enhancing Performance Course Outline NAME: 2015 TEACHER: This booklet contains vital information with regard to NCEA. You need to read it carefully and sign to say you have understood it. You are welcome to ask questions about our department policies and procedures. A copy of this booklet will be kept on file.
2 DEPARTMENT POLICIES This department has decided that: For each unit of work you will receive an instruction sheet. Keep this in your clear file and refer to it often. As soon as each assessment has been quality assured, you will be told your Achievement Standard grade and your teacher will file your work. There will be limited reassessment opportunities for Internal Achievement Standards in Enhancing Performance at level 2. Plagiarised work will not be accepted for assessment. Because your assessed work will be kept on file, it can be easily checked if there is any suggestion of plagiarism. You are entitled to have access to you record of learning at any time. As well as your clear file you are also required to have a Google Docs folder for Year 12 Enhancing Performance. This is because you will be receiving a number of hand outs and resources throughout the year. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to catch up on work missed and instructions given in class. Appeals of grades awarded are to be made as soon as possible after the work is returned. You should talk to your Human Performance teacher and if the matter is not resolved, you must make an appeal in writing to the HOD Physical Education, Mr Cournane. Signed: Date:
