1 Kindergarten Physical Education Scope and Sequence Participate in daily activities that require physical exertion for short periods of time. Recognize physiological signs of moderate physical activity, Identify benefits of physical activity. Demonstrate body awareness: identify and use specified body parts. Demonstrate a variety of locomotor (walk, hop, roll, etc.) and nonlocomotor (balance, bend, reach, etc.) movements Explore manipulative skills (throw, catch, kick, bounce, roll, etc.) Participate in introductory rhythm and dance activities. Cooperate with others. Demonstrate simple problem solving. Demonstrate joy in movement. Demonstrate appropriate risk-taking. Follow simple rules and procedures for the activity setting. Follow safety rules in the activity setting. Establish a beginning movement vocabulary.

List the health-related components of physical fitness: cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and body composition. Identify the impact of nutrition and physical activity on Demonstrate locomotor transitions and nonlocomotor movements individually, with a partner, and in small groups. Demonstrate manipulative skills using a variety of objects individually, with a partner, and in small groups. Participate in rhythm and dance activities. Exhibit cooperative behavior. Show problem-solving techniques in a variety of settings. Demonstrate joy in movement. Explain the rules and procedures for the activity setting. Follow safety rules in the activity setting. Demonstrate a knowledge of movement vocabulary.
