3 Foreword Ladies and Gentlemen, Following the overwhelming success of the previous conferences and the positive reception, Nanofair celebrates 2014 its 10 th anniversary. With the slogan New Ideas for Industry the conference provides a platform for a scientific and industrial audience to exchange the latest results and ideas. More than 60 internationally renowned speakers, numerous industrial exhibitors as well as a poster session will offer delegates excellent possibilities to get acquainted with the latest developments and research results. Moreover, the 2 nd Dresden Nanoanalysis Symposium (DNS) will be held at the same venue as an integral part of the conference. This international symposium will provide highlights in the field of nanoanalysis and its applications in materials science and engineering, advanced electronics, energy research and other branches. The exhibitor s evening, the conference reception and the new online subjectspecific transfer platform (pin board) offer an excellent opportunity to network. We are convinced that the Nanofair and the 2 nd DNS will definitely bring you together with the key players from industry and R&D. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Dresden.
