In January 2010, 671 members were using Mobile Banking. Currently, we have 1,468 users. Since January this year, Heritage Trust Mobile Banking users have performed an average of over 33,000 transactions using their mobile devices! With Mobile Banking, members can review their current account balance, transfer funds between accounts and pay bills from any web-enabled device. Mobile Banking users can also locate a Heritage Trust Branch or ATM and view current deposit and loan rates. Is it safe? Heritage Trust offers the same level of protection with Mobile Banking as with our Online Banking service, including firewalls, screening, filtering routers and multiple layers of encryption. Encryption involves exchanging numbers between the end user s browser and the Online Banking server. The numbers act as keys to unlock the connection between browser and server, much like numbers on a combination lock. 2 Despite all the negatives we had to deal with in 2010, we retained our well capitalized rating with the federal regulator. Over the years we had built up our capital ratios that allowed us to weather the recession. We continued to reduce operating costs that help lessen the impact of the charge offs and the NCUA assessments without any reduction in the level of service we provided. As determined by the member survey conducted by the Raddon Financial Group, our overall Member Satisfaction rating improved since I am extremely proud of our branch and Contact Center personnel who earned an average rating of 95% on the Mystery Shops while the industry average was 89.4%. Nevertheless, we were proud to open our newest branch located in the Park West area of Mt. Pleasant on April 8, This branch is the first of our new design in service delivery to the membership. We are also planning to break ground on another branch on Coleman Blvd. in Mt. Pleasant. This branch will replace our Bowman Road facility that is being impacted by the County of Charleston s road project at Highway 17 and Bowman Road. Jim McDaniel Branch at Park West Now Open! Our newest branch located at the entrance of the Park West subdivision in Mt. Pleasant off of Highway 17 is now open! The branch is fully-equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering biometric entry into the vault, an ATM with the latest check imaging/ cash recognition system, advanced cash recycling/dispensing machines and coin machine technology that directly deposits to members accounts. In lieu of the traditional blocking barrier of a teller line, employees will help members with their transactions at Dialog Stations, making the experience more personalized and focused on service excellence. Member education and focus are the hallmarks of the new branch as well as a highly-trained and motivated staff. Heritage Trust organizes and hosts the golf event each Spring to raise community awareness and help fund better ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. Heritage Trust donated $16,000 to the American Cancer Society on March 23, These funds were raised at the annual Golf Tournament and though other fundraising events held throughout the year. Local businesses and industry leaders supported the cause through sponsorships while over 60 players participated in the fun-filled golf outing. Cancer touches everyone in some way.
