At Educational Systems FCU, we support educators and students who continually strive to learn and grow to make the world a better place through education. We do that by offering several scholarship and award opportunities to our members. 1 A BETTER WAY TO INVEST IN YOUR EDUCATION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS: $3,000 SCHOLARSHIP Applications due: March 16, 2015 The Dorothy Marvil Memorial Scholarship is proudly given in memory of a dedicated educator and Credit Union advocate. We award eight scholarships to deserving, college-bound high school seniors. 2 COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS: $3,000 SCHOLARSHIP Applications due: March 10, 2015 Apply today if you re currently enrolled at the College of Southern Maryland, Montgomery College or Prince George s Community College and plan on returning in the fall. 3 HELPFUL TIP: Private student loans are a great way to pay for college when scholarships, grants and federal loans fall short. 3 EDUCATORS: $1,000 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD Applications due: April 1, 2015 The Maurice Erly Professional Development Award preserves a 44-year legacy Maurice gave to the education community. The award is given to eleven educators to continue their education, such as workshop registration, certifi cation fees and tuition. 4 APPLY TODAY For eligibility requirements and information on how to apply, visit esfcu.org. 1 Educational Systems FCU employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to apply. 2 One scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior from a school in each of the seven counties we serve including: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, Prince George s, St. Mary s and Talbot County. Plus one scholarship will be designated for one member who is a graduating senior attending a high school outside of the seven counties previously mentioned. Exceptions for membership eligibility may apply for applicants from counties outside of the seven counties we serve. 3 One scholarship will be awarded to a full time student returning for the academic year at one of the community colleges we serve including: College of Southern Maryland, Montgomery College and Prince George s Community College. 4 An award will be given to one educator at each of the seven school systems we serve including: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, Prince George s, St. Mary s and Talbot; and the three community colleges we serve including: College of Southern Maryland, Montgomery College and Prince George s Community College.
