The High School Bridge and B.O.R. Dual Enrollment Programs allows eligible high school juniors and seniors to enroll in college courses at Louisiana Delta Community College. The credits that students earn in the Louisiana Board of Regents Dual Enrollment Program may be used toward both a high school diploma and a college associate degree and/or certificates.
Courses are offered at five area high schools and the LSU AgCenter in West Carroll Parish. Courses are taught by qualified college instructors. Courses offered through this extended campus program are the same as those taught on the main campus of Louisiana Delta Community College Tuition is discounted more than 50% for High School Bridge students. BOR Dual Enrollment students have no costs.
The High School Bridge Program is for students who take courses beyond high school graduation requirements or courses not covered by the Louisiana Board of Regents grant. These students do not receive high school credit, only college credit. The Dual Enrollment Program is for students who will receive both high school and college credit concurrently. This program is funded by a grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents. This program helps these students obtain the required credits needed to graduate from high school.
Enriches the course opportunities for high school students Shortens the time to attain a college degree, which saves students and parents money Provides students with college general education credit that is transferable to a four-year college or university Enables students to explore occupational interests
Allows students the opportunity to meet college entrance requirements by completing developmental coursework prior to high school graduation Provides student access to Delta s Learning Resource Center, tutoring services, computer labs and the ULM library Some students are graduating high school with 24+ hours of college credit. This is equivalent to a student s freshman year in college. TOPS pays for 8 semesters even if you already have college credit.
