12 The value chain in our industry is sometimes broken Customer The content provider do not pay for data, so they do not care for that. The end customer does not understand as he is usually using flat rates. And the operator has little influence on the content. The 200 top Youtube videos are consuming 70% of Youtube traffic. Google needs caching close to their (our!) customers. Efficient use of bandwidth ( avoid wasting of data ) is more important today in the time of smartphones, apps and signaling shit storms. 12
