Is capable of highlighting the best features and disguise by its absence the ones not so favorable. Like a good lighting enriches an environment, a bad lighting or poorly planned can ruin a good design. The lighting designer is the professional responsible to transform the expectations related to light in technical and technological solutions integrated with the architecture. Fascination with light, its consequences, effects and the ways to achieve the best results through lighting design are Lit s soul. Our goal is to meet the architectural design and the client s aspirations, in a creative, customized and coherent manner, translated in a good lighting design. The name Lit represents the success of this goal.

3 team Lit Letícia Mariotto Achitect, graduated at Mackenzie College in 1997, the same year of an Specialization course at CISA Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura on Andrea Palladio in Vicenza, Italy. Worked as architect and project manager at architecture offices of national recognition up to 2001 and from 2005 to 2007, in this last period, being responsible also for the lighting design. From 2001 to 2004, worked as coordinator and lighting designer one of the most important brazilian lighting design offices of Brasil. From 2004 on, developed independent lighting designs projects. Took an Specialization course in Management of micro and small companies ministered by FASM and Federazione Veneta. Associated to ANAB Bioechological Architecture National Association. Cláudia Borges Shimabukuro Architect, and Urbanist, graduated in 1996 at University of São Paulo (USP), works with lighting design since From 1999 to 2005 worked as project manager at one of the biggest lighting design offices of Brazil. In 2005 went to EMURB Municipal Urbanization Company to work at the Urban Design and Environment Department in urban designs involving sometimes public lighting, where stayed up to May Took an Specialization course in Business for Executives at Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV- EAESP). In November 2007, Lit started an international partnership with Studio Lite, a lighting design office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (

4 services Usually, a Complete artificial lighting Design in Brazil is developed in two phases: Schematic Design and Detailing Schematic Design is the result from the analysis and comprehension of the architectural project, and constitutes the conceptual phase of the lighting design. Its products are luminaire distribution plans and preliminary specification schedule with quantities and description of lamps and luminaires used as reference. This phase is fundamental to consolidate the lighting concepts with the client, before moving on to more detailed products, avoiding unnecessary work. Detailing is the last phase, when all concepts regarding lighting are approved and gain their final presentation with the luminaire distribution definitive plans, complete equipment specification and special solutions detailing. 5 services Sometimes, lighting design was not contemplated from the beginning of the project, in other occasions the budget doesn't allow to contract a full lighting design project. For these situations, Lit also offers the services of Assessorship and Consulting, which can adjust to both limited time and budget inherent in these cases. Assessorship establishes that the lighting design is developed fully in one phase, with a final product similar to the detailing phase. This can work when the architectural project is already advanced and detailed together with a thorough briefing of the client s needs and expectations. Consulting can be developed in several ways: The lighting concepts are defined in meetings with the client and architect, based on graphic material provided by them, and if necessary, in a visit to the construction site. There are no delivery products from our office, all the information gathered and produced in the meetings stays with the client. To optimize an already executed design, sometimes with a simpler solution, more efficient and adequate equipments, and small modifications through reports and sketches.
