Career Opportunity We are continuing to experience strong growth and as a result we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to join our Sydney Public and Products Liability team. The focus of this role will be public and product liability claims, including third party personal injury & property damage. However the practice group also advises on:- + professional indemnity claims; + first party property damage claims; and + policy coverage issues. In this role you will advise insurers, corporate insureds and Government departments on a wide range of complex, high profile and large scale matters. Skills and Expertise The role would suit a confident, experienced Senior Associate who is interested in and capable of managing broad and complex contested insurance disputes, as well as advising major clients on a range of insurance issues. Your areas of expertise will include advising insurers on coverage and recovery issues under public liability, professional indemnity, first party property damage and ISR policies.

3 You will also have had conduct of litigated claims ranging from small claims to claims for catastrophic injuries against commercial occupiers, construction site contractors and road and statutory authorities. You will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to identify and analyse complex legal issues. You will also have excellent technical, research and drafting skills which you will use in order to achieve the best outcome for your client. Ideally, you will be in the 2nd or 3rd year of your law degree and will have an excellent academic record, outstanding organisation and research skills and be able to demonstrate a capability to work autonomously, as well as being a team player. It goes without saying that attention to detail and the ability to prioritise are essential. You will also require advanced Microsoft Office skills, although training on our in-house IT systems will be provided. Your duties will include attending to urgent and non-urgent work, such as: + drafting legal documents; + research; + drafting letters of advice; + preparing confidential documents; + discovery; + proof reading and editing documents; and + preparing and updating precedents. As you will be providing first class commercial solutions to your clients, you will be able to demonstrate excellent technical, research and drafting skills. In addition and with proven experience in this area, you will supervise and coach younger lawyers.
