2 At Bryggeriets Gymnasium we take pride in our art and media programs. We offer various specializations incuding photography, film, cartooning, and skateboarding. Our campus houses several drawing, film, and photography studios as well as one of Europe s best indoor skate parks. We have a wide variety of technical and artistic equipment but most importantly, passionate and knowledgeable teachers. Since all our instructors are professionals in their field, they are a great resource for networks and connections outside the school. In addition to class credit, you will work on many multidisciplinary projects to showcase at the end of each year. Our annual exhibition is a great springboard to career development. 3 PROGRAMS Upon enrolling you are given the choice of our cartooning, photography, videography, or skateboarding program. All courses are designed to provide breadth and depth of education and we encourage students to immerse themselves in the area that most interests them. Polly, year 1 Photography courses teach the entire process from concept to finished product. Instructors help immerse students by teaching different photographic styles and artistic aspects of image creation. The curriculum is project oriented and produces real life professional skills. Facilities are well equipped with tools needed to provide solid practical, theoretical, and artistic training. In October 2013 we officially opened the doors to our new film studio outfitted with a state of the art control room. In addition to studio access, you will shoot in a diverse range of outdoor environments. Our classrooms are always changing shape to promote creativity and inspiration. You will learn all aspects of the film process, from scriptwriting to Final Cut pro and receive specialized training in our editing labs. Our advanced film courses teach important aspects of documentary style, feature film, and television production. To enhance coursework, we supplement the learning environment by traveling to interesting exhibits in the Malmö area. Our student exhibition occurs in May, which is an important event for the photography and film program. This opportunity gives students a chance to showcase their work and gain credibility for projects they have finished during the year.

5 CARTOONING I have developed enormously. I found my own style, my own way of expressing myself. Emma, Year 2 Cartooning is about connecting storytelling with artistic creation. For three years you will work to develop your design and creative thinking skills. The artistic techniques we teach will help you develop your own style and visual voice. The program is heavily geared toward imaging in both traditional and digital forms. We use acrylic, watercolor, ink, chalk, and charcoal when working with cartooning, sketching, and modeling all of which encourage free artistic thinking. Our classes develop your skills in graphic design, photography, film, animation, and communication which qualify you for universities after graduating! 6 SKATEBOARD It s almost too good, to be able to mix what you love with what prepares you for adult life. Kristoffer, Year 3 Regaurdless of your starting skill level, we will help you develop during your three years at Bryggeriet. Training is based on your circumstances and individual goals. In addition to learning how to flow with the camera lens, you will study skateboarding culture from a societal perspective. Our park design classes give you digital skills in architectural theory and practice. Film and design are incorporated into our curriculum since they are central forms of expression within skate culture. Malmö has a wide range of opportunities unique to Sweden and Europe. We show students various parks and spots around southern Sweden and Denmark to take full advantage of our surroundings. We also work closely with the Bryggeriet Association, which organizes many major national and international competitions and events. As a student, you will have the opportunity to get involved with the Bryggeriet Association and meet international skateboard professionals, filmmakers, and other key players in the skate industry. The amazing thing about our skateboard program is the opportunity to incorporate your passion into our courses while receiving an education that gives you basic eligibility for university studies.
